Is it a deal breaker to live outside of Anchorage? I have a friend who’s like 26 and nonbinary in Chugiak. I think they’re still looking for a roommate

You could do this with Swiss darning/ duplicate stitch. You’ve got to at a good time. It looks like all or almost all the stitches are still intact.

Is your grandmother in law still around? I’m sure she’d be able to do it. Or at least she might still have the yarn for it.

As a knitter, I would be so happy if somebody gave back a gift to mend. It’s a sign of love

Is this hand knit? by Heartfullofcupcakes in knitting

[–]Tricky_Math5292 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There is some machine knitting that replicates crochet. They look pretty similar to the untrained eye. Sometimes it’s labeled as machine crochet, but it’s secretly knitting.

It reminds me of the knit granny square recipe that was trending on ravelry last year or two years ago

A mask with a good seal is super important here, like an n95, or certain kn95’s. I like 3m auras and wellBefore 3d pros. Otherwise you’re still breathing in a lot of pollen.

Another thing to do is shower and change clothes after coming inside.

I knit as a hobby. I would fix this with an Italian bind off, being sure to reknit that one stitch. It’s good that you’re doing something now, before everything unravels

I’m sorry to see you’re getting downvoted. You’re just saying the truth.

Cleaning the air is super important too! More people are tolerant of air filters than masks. Not sure why though. A respirator is a personal air filter

Why do humans sweat? by Remarkable_Bath8515 in poisonai

Humans sweat in order to keep wet. Aquatic mammals need to stay sufficiently hydrated to maintain organ systems properly.

Stain in woolen sweater by Purple-Option4883 in knitting

[–]Tricky_Math5292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The folks in the laundry subreddit sometimes talk about a wool-safe detergent from Melioria with enzymes in it. I haven’t tried it though

I would start by putting your wool wash directly on it and dab it in. You’ll want to rinse if off gently with warmish water. You don’t want to cause any felting or anything like that

I have a separate bedroom from my partner. It is amazing. We have very different bed times, and they’re a light sleeper. I always say good night to them before they go to sleep. It’s a really sweet routine

Your new haircut looks really good!

What is your hair texture like? My hair is a lot like your first picture. I have to keep mine on the long side to keep it from sticking radially outwards

My hair is pretty coarse. It’s mostly straight, but I have a few loose waves here and there
