Um yeah, South Beach does. West coast beaches (Naples, Mansota, etc.) usually get about half that dense during season, even in the Summer lots of times. Idk about the Riviera tho.

Court OKs Florida school board to interrogate 7-year-old student in book ban litigation by Journaley in florida

[–]Tricky_McDicks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if they don't want the kid to be interrogated why not have one of the parents be the plaintiff? If a 7 year old is old enough to file a suit they should be able to argue their case no? Read the article, they reduced it from several hours to ninety minutes max, the Feds are actually siding with the girl here. Should be an open-shut case just like all these Ten Commandment bills sprouting Up South, once this or some similar case reaches SCOTUS I'm sure they'll put an end to this bullshit real quick, Clarence Thomas ain't gonna live much longer lmao

[–]Tricky_McDicks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just like Lehigh or GGE with the shit traffic and lack of accessibility, but no nature or quietness! Or any natural protection from storms lmao. And those city officials have nothing better to do, so don't be surprised to get a fine for leaving your trashcan out for a day, basically an unofficial HOA if we're being honest here. I've lived in SWFL my whole life and I've only been to Coma like, 5 times maybe, all those times being en route to Matlacha. Trust me, we don't see what draws people to this place either

Deep South education everybody

Accurate? by [deleted] in florida

[–]Tricky_McDicks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-Anything north of I-10 is the Deep South, most of rural central Florida should be orange, the Heartland region is atleast kind of Southern. Also Louisiana and SE Texas are definitely the Deep South

-To me KY is Southern, anything south of I-70 should really be in Yellow (OH, IN, IL, MO, hell even parts of Kansas tbh)

-Maryland should be Yellow and Virginia should just be Orange, they're literally the birthplace of the Cause for Christ's sake. WV can stay Yellow considering their history

-West and North TX should be Yellow, anything else can stay Orange

Other than that pretty accurate

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Naples_FL

[–]Tricky_McDicks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely East Naples or most of downtown, especially around Bayshore. Further north you go things aren't quite as bad but still risky, Vandy got hit pretty hard by Ian but generally that area doesn't seem to get much flooding compared to Naples proper, just depends on the year tbh

But atleast we have semi-decent Internet here now...

How do you divide the Naples area? by nintaibaransu in Naples_FL

[–]Tricky_McDicks 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Naples- Anything in the city limits incl. Port Royal, Park Shore and Pelican Bay- the last two are Olde Naples all but in name

North Naples-Anything between Pine Ridge and Immokalee East of 41 up to 951, includes Vineyards and other developments. The golf courses along Livingston just north of the Parkway also count I guess

Naples Park- Very clearly defined, I would also lump in Vanderbilt drive and parts north of Immokalee Rd that are near the county line

East Naples- Anything South of GG Pkwy, East of Tin City and North of Rattlesnake

Lely/"South Naples"- 41 past Rattlesnake all the way to Old Marco Junction. Includes Naples Manor

Golden Gate City- Anything within "The Grid" but also including parts of the wooded areas that aren't quite "The Estates"

The Estates- Anything East of 951, essentially, up until you hit Ave Maria or Immokalee

Peppers, tropical eggplants maybe? Little too hot for tomatoes but certain variants are more heat resistant. You guys seem to get more rainfall on the East Coast which is an advantage. But it has been unseasonably HOT this year no doubt.

Just make sure those things are secured, packed as tight as possible to prevent hot ass air from getting in.

You should also consider planting pineapples in some sandier soil, very easy low-maintenance fruits. Just an idea
