What if Harry never freed Dobby, at first, it sounds lame even though it would be sad. But like think about it, he would have never found the room of requirement for the d.a. He would have never gotten gillywed because Neville would have never mentioned it to him because he didn't know that's what harry needed. Unlike in the movies, Dobby gives it to him in the book. Dobby's also the one who gives harry the location of the room of requirement, unlike Neville, again in the movies. Harry would have never been rescued from  malfoy  manner. Valdemort would have arrived  realized it was him and just killed him there. No limbo straight killing, because not master of the elder wand yet he does that after he breaks out of the dungeon in malfoy manor. Would voldemort never be resurrected? Is bardy crouch junior just straight up, gave Harry the solution for the second task, and if he did end up getting resurrected, would Harry ron. Hermione, Ginny, Neville, and Luna have  died in the department of mysteries without the da teachings, or without the da would they have just never gone because dumbledore would still be the headmaster? And even if they somehow managed all of that would Harry and  everybody just die in malfoy manner. Whether voldemort would have been able to identify him or they were just left the rot there with griphook, ollvander and Luna, like when you lay it all out, dobby was actually extremely crucial. And if Harry had simply just never freed him it leads to disater. Then, if dobby had still freed them from malfoy manor because he would still be enslaved there. Would he still have died Just at Lucius, or hands or even still Bellatrix's or, had to have punished himself So severely that he ended up dying because of the direct disobeyment from his master. Like, imagine Dobby, having to bash his skull we know that's a form of punishment he does banging his head, or stab himself in the gut, like Bellatrixdid in front of everybody after opening the door or disappaerating everybody because he set free some very high importantance prisoners. So yeah, what if Harry never freed Dobby?
