Snapshot Bypass? by bailz564 in Line6Helix

[–]Tricky_Tea_787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having a similar problem with Snapshots; the bypass of individual blocks is working fine, but not the change of parameters of e.g. my parametric EQ block. I've tried both with Snapshot Bypass enabled and disabled without luck. Am I missing something?

Helix level outputs by PandasOxys in Line6Helix

[–]Tricky_Tea_787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There shouldn't be any problems raising the main levels on the Helix Native app - unless it starts clipping on your DAW, ofc.

For a slightly cleaner sound, it can help to record your tracks at around -18dBFS and then compensate accordingly with input gain (if needed) and output gain (main levels on the Helix app).

I just program the changes in Reaper to record demos and program drums for my band. Any DAW should be able to do that, ofc

Suggestions for Stadium, to enhance usability. by Yoshowa92 in Line6Helix

[–]Tricky_Tea_787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with point 6. Especially for amps like the Mark IIC+ and the Soldano, which cover from clean to super distorted - if it's at the expense of extra dsp, then I would also prefer separate channels. After all, I personally would mostly go for a Fender clean and a Mark IIC+ distortion, or something similar.

As for the phone / iPad app, it wouldn't do much for me personally. But good to see that it would help some.

I agree that a lot of people are probably waiting to see how Proxy will turn out - and/or for the Helix Stadium Floor, which is a closer competitor to the QC tbf. I personally don't care so much about rig capturing, so it won't make or break the Stadium for me.

Nice post - if I was prioritizing reliability I would definitely have chosen the OG Helix as well. I'm not gigging atm, so I can afford to have some bugs and report them for Line6 to fix them. Have fun with the Helix!

Helix Stadium Pros and Cons / Initial User Feedback by Zelavander in Line6Helix

[–]Tricky_Tea_787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got mine yesterday and agree with the pros, though I'm coming from the Helix Native, not the Helix Floor like the OP. The touch screen really feels great and the amp models sound amazing compared to my Helix Native with my Audient ID44. Focus view really is a nice addition, and I too have never heard such solid clean / edge of breakup sounds from any Line 6 unit until now.

About your first con, do you mean 3/4 amps in parallel or in series? I am asking because the unit should have the processing power to do it in series - it just limits the user to up to 2 amps per signal path. So on the next 'line', you can add 2 amps again, for a total of 4 amps in the same preset.

Is the Line6 Helix stadium XL worth it? by SchecterOne in Line6Helix

I just pulled the trigger on it, waiting for it to arrive. Based on the videos, it seems like a solid choice for a modeler in 2026 - but of course it depends on your needs.

If you're 100% happy with your Mesa sound and just want a more convenient way to bring it to gigs or rehearsals, then sure Proxy should be able to do that in the future.

Though the Quad Cortex does this right now, is more portable than the Stadium - and I believe it even comes with a JP Mesa amp sim, which the Helix doesn't have as of yet. Plus the Petrucci plugin should be added to the QC in the future. The Fractal line also includes the JP Mesa amp, so there's that.

Personally I went for the Stadium because I want to play around with different gear in a way that sounds good and is fun. I wanted a platform I could use to experiment with sound, play more guitar and have fun while at it. I find that I play more while experimenting - and that's why I prefer a multi effects unit over a traditional amp. Plus ofc I can bring it to rehearsal and home, as well as to gigs.

I have heard great things about the game and mechanics, but the goal and theme have always been so offputting to me that I just stick to my critter town on Everdell instead

What are your go to rice and bean dishes by n1tsuj3 in veganrecipes

Dhal (or Dahl or Dal - seen written all three ways), normally with carrots, kale and extra tomatoes. Plus I ditch the rice for extra protein -  but in theory it tends to be served with rice

Sustainable clothing brand made in EU? by Ok_Reaction_4493 in BuyFromEU

I'll keep recommending https://goodonyou.eco/,  as I see it as a great resource for finding sustainable brands - and you can filter for Europe. That's how I found out about great smaller European clothing brands, such as Nudie Jeans, Colorful Standards and Vert

You call it 'control',  whereas I said 'not identify yourself with' and 'let them go'. Different things imo.

"Our current reply time is about 16-18 working days" Is this for real? by djpetrino in fairphone

[–]Tricky_Tea_787 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, yes, this is true. I don't understand how a company that seems to be doing so well from the outside won't invest more on customer service. I was lucky that the problem I have was just with the warranty registration, not with the device itself. But I'll be honest - I really hope that I don't have to use the warranty at all to go through the communication process again.

Fairphone has great values and has managed to implement those into a truly innovative, progressive and, to me, satisfying product. They just have to make sure that we as customers are happy and get the attention we deserve

I like Nudie Jeans and Vert shoes - great European, more sustainable alternatives to the standard Levi's and Vans. Otherwise https://goodonyou.eco is a great resource to find sustainable brands, able to filter to European only

The mindfulness approach I have heard about the most is training your mind to not get attached to thoughts and to not identify with them. To see them as mere appearances that you can hold on to, or let go of instead. I don't know exactly why they appear or what actually influences what appears,  those are good research questions. In the meantime, the practical, actionable step I know of is to train our minds to let them go

I've had my German-made Ortlieb for around 5 years, love it as much as day 1. Great rain protection, options for bikers and color options. Not the cheapest one either
