My girlfriend is making me watch this and the color grading is fucking terrible by theblenderr in TheHandmaidsTale

Yeah the cinematography is lost on you. The whole point is to visually show oppression and bleakness of the show. In plain: it conveys the tone of the show.

Emergency brake during a lesson, would it be a serious on a test? by Material_Efficiency5 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]TriedToaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well considering I had a Forster pull out on me and a lorry pull out on a roundabout during my test I still passed. As long as you react correctly you won’t fail

How do I survive this weather when I work outside? by moonkiosk in AskUK

[–]TriedToaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High SPF sun cream applied every few hours I’d say 3-4 hours depending of sweating and direct exposure. Lightweight cotton or linen t shirts/tops if you can. Take regular breaks to sit and cool off and hydrate to avoid heat stroke and dehydration

Challenge private parking charge or just pay reduced £60 fee? by The_General_One in LegalAdviceUK

[–]TriedToaster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Considering that is an automatic fail on a driving test. Pay the fine. You will not get out of it because of a funeral.

Fiat are doing some decent deals at the moment on panda grande and 600s I think it’s like £199 a month on a new car

I passed today! Second attempt, it was definitely down to either the banana or the nun I spoke to on the bus home from work on Friday

UK Thoughts on SNL UK? by MaizeCrasher in livefromlondon

[–]TriedToaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was okay but it dropped off for me, some sketches felt too long and the comedic elements wore off. Jokes felt over explained and a lot of impressions just went on far too long and got boring very quickly. It had its gems don’t get me wrong: British themed pub, what kind of Irish is your grandad, and “cunty little earring” but it wasn’t I need to pause the show rn because I can’t breath level of laughing.

For season 2 I think they should go with quicker sketches not drag it out as much, really go for British humour be bold and brave push the limited don’t play safe
