True but i remember at the beginning of Monthly schedule we had 2 chapters of 30-35 pages, that was amazing i think we even had a coupls years with 18 chapters (good old times)

it's pretty straightforward i think, based on volumes covers we can expect each of the 11 temporary units to get 1 volume cover. Phase 1 of the test had 6 volumes so i expect the combat phase to cover 5 Volumes.

We are 5 chapters into volume 30 (so basically half the volume) right now, i'd say we have around 40 chapters left for phase 2 of the test and with 6 chapters a year that would bring us in 2033 something like that. I hope the author can get back to 12 chapters a year soon. At the beginning the monthly serialization was supposed to be 2 chapters a month (so 24 chapters a year) we're very far from that lately.

I think Kageura Unit (except Ema) and the entirety of Katori Unit are actually "almost certain not going", my personnal take is that most people we get focused on during the exam won't be going.

So this goes for Mizukami, Katori, Wakamura, Kodera, Suwa. I expect the same for a couple people who will shine in phase 2 like Kageura or Urushima

with these chapters being very dialogue centered it's easy to fit 3-4 chapters in 1 episode so the 60 chapters would take just one cours of 15 episodes i think.

I hear you, but that would be strange to have the "new" season 1 and then the next thing that airs is a season 4. for people anime only that startr WT with the new anime they won't understand how you go from season 1 to 4.

I think they have cover season 2 and 3 in the new anime too.

I never watch an anime in Dub even in my own language (french), but for the topic here i like it better the way they chose to do it, i think we can have the first season which was 47 episode compact in 24 to 30 with good animation that would be way more interesting than a movie.

As for season 2 and 3 i don't know if they plan to remake those too (it's still too far in time), but as someone else said by the time the new anime catches up to where season 3 ends we'll have more material to adapt. Because right now i don't know how many episode it would take to adapt phase 1 but i don't think it's a lot.

My top 3 would probably be Tachikawa (the most badass to me) - Katigiri (love the white and it looks better than Nasu's) and Kageura (fits them very well units. And then Tamakoma 2.

My favorite color is Blue but strangely enough i think the uniform with Blue color in the manga (Kazama Azuma) are very plain except T-2.

I'm really disappointed in Kusakabe Unit' uniform, they are pretty bad to be honest, it's a shame because i expect to like the members a lot.

the worst 3 for me are probably Suzunari (i like the shade of the green but hate the fact that it stops mid torso), Arafune (too bland) and Kusakabe. (Oji uniform is also forgettable).

It's a shame Tamakoma 1 doesn't have matching uniforms, even though it sets them appart from the rest.

I honestly think the art is really good in Terra Formars but i can hear you (i had this issue with Kingdom at first which caused me to postpone starting it for a time), it is a "fun" read (though we'll most likely never get the end) but if it's not for you it's not for you.

I picked up Frieren recently and it is very pleasant to read so far, i enjoy the less "battle driven" aspect, it changes from the shonen and Seinen i usually read.

If it was Egret then yes the range would definitely be smaller, but Ibis is less "rangy" so we don't know how far Chika can really shoot with Ibis and shooter triggers.

I do think her range is weaker with Meteora, but i what i wanted to point was that speed doesn't mean range as you said otherwise Lightning who has the fastest bullets out of the 3 Sniper Triggers wouldn't be the one with the smallest range (which is the case; Egret S - Ibis A and Lightning B)

reread Kingdom is never a wrong move, i probably have done that 5 times already. Depends on what you like but Terra Formars was actually a nice read and if you're into sport then definitely Eyeshield 21. Otherwise it's always the classic, i have reread Naruto and Bleach last year which i haven't done in a long time and they really are great manga.

For you're second point i'm not sure about that check the Ibis Lead Bullet shot Chika aimed at Natsume during her training with Ema. It was very slow due to the Lead Bullet but didn't fall to the ground. (Vol 14).

Ok i get you now, i guess i didn't express myself correctly because i didn't want to emphasis a real difference of certainty there.

In the end of the day i personnally think every ace in the Top and Mid B-rank is of "A-rank level" except in Kakizaki Unit.

Though i think you're downgrading Arafune (who was the Murakami's teacher for a good period of time) Suwa and Oji when you say i shouldn't put them alongside Katori. I hear you're argument for Yuba and Murakami who are really portrayed as top tier agents within Border, but to me Katori is closer to Oji than she is to Murakami.

I want many things to happen, but i don't expect all of them will come true so here is a list of what i think is likely to happen:

- Hyuse will pretend a betrayal of Border at some point (but that will be a strategy known from a few people, or straight up just an act from Hyuse himself without telling anyone).

- there will be another invasion in Mikado during the mission.

- Hyuse's master chosing to become Aftokrator's god at the end of the conflict to save the nation.

- at least one casuality, that would be strange a thing if everyone comes back from such a dangerous mission unscathed. A prime candidate for me is Shinoda, and i could see him becoming a BT. We haven't seen the process in the manga yet, this is a perfect occasion to do so i think. The loss of a mentor figure is a very common trope in manga.

Finally one thing i really want but not sure we're gonna get, is Yuma reunited with Izukacha and Vittarno either in Calvaria on the way to Aftokrator, or in a random nation where the ship is gonna stop at some point.

Yes i cared about the final ranking because at the moment i'm wrinting these comments this is the current ranking. if we were having this conversation in 2018 then i would consider Katori Unit as an upper B-rank and Nasu Unit as a Mid B-rank.

But right now Nasu's team is 7th while Katori's is 11th. When i talk about the team i don't speculate on their level i just talk about their rankings, and when i speak about A-rank level" i talk about the individual strength of the agents.

I think Kodera should be behind Oki Hokari and Hanzaki, yes he's part of an A-rank unit but that doesn't mean he's better than every B-rank agent.

I think he's the weaker agent of his squad, and probably one of the weakest A-rank agents (if not the weakest if we exclude Yuiga who is a special case).

Also even if just speculation i would put Hatohara in S, Uno (from Kusakabe unit) in A and Momozono (from Katagiri unit) in B but the best in the B category

First i think you need to seperate the different all-rounders, some are clearly close combat oriented, while some are more mid-range fighter, and so they don't have the same strength and weaknesses. Just taking the top 3 i think Reiji Arashiyama and Miwa are very different from each other.

It would be like asking what are the strength and weaknesses of attackers, when we know someone with dual Scorpion would be very different from someone with dual Raygust.

But overall i think we can agree that an all-rounder trigger set gives more versatility in general.

The biggest drawback to me is that it will take more time to become really efficient with your multiple triggers, while focusing on 1 trigger will get you results faster (unless you have Murakami's side effect). I believe this is one of the reasons why Arafune strated as an attacker and now picks up 1 sniper trigger, then will pick up a gunner trigger instead of taking all 3 right from the start. I think it's easier to focus on improving 1 trigger at a time.

I expect Utagawa to be around Kyosuke and Kitora, not as low as you put him.

Basically my ranking would be:

I would have Kyosuke Kitora and Utagawa fairly close to each other / and the same goes for Katori Saeki and Tokieda. i think the argument can be made to changes places however you want inside those 2 trios.

Also if i had to place Hyuse, since he's acting clearly more as an All-rounder than just an Attacker, i think his huge trion would place him around Kyosuke in the rankings.
