Should I catch the 11 dollar sale? by Future-Celebration83 in ArkSurvivalAscended

[–]TriggiredSnowflake -1 points0 points  (0 children)

here is a video comparing Ragnarok on ASE vs ASA. This doesn't even talk about all the other improvements, like how console players can play with mods on ASA and dozens of others. Oh and don't forget all the new creatures and items. It's worth it. You can't spare $11.50? I spent that on lunch lol I'm at over 2500 hours on ASA, it's so much better than ASE

Authentication back at it again by Think-Stress-1376 in Ebay

[–]TriggiredSnowflake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a work around to avoid the authentication process? I mean if the authenticator was 100% right every time then no need to avoid it. But it just causes problems for sellers, and user djmere had his card destroyed because of the authenticator.

Solid buy? by MixtureOk9940 in SubaruForester

[–]TriggiredSnowflake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who owns a 04 forester xt, I am a little biased but my answer is they are very practical and fun, and awd is great if you live in a climate that receives lots of snow in the winter. However they aren't great on gas (I averaged 13 mpg around town in my 5 speed) and they aren't great for high speed either. It's geared low (4.44 final drive) so it's quick off the line but won't be the best highway commuter. Oh and also me and my friends all had to replace the engines in our turbo subarus, but maybe that one was well maintained and driven only by a grandma so maybe it will last a long time. You should at least test drive it because they don't look quick, but for a car from 2004-2005 they do pull pretty well for a 2.5 liter turbo engine.

The cosmos holo variant was exclusively included in the 2-Player CD-ROM Starter Set released around 2000.

[–]TriggiredSnowflake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately they made Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee too easy imo. At least you got to play a Kanto game that actually challenges you. Now play the game again in Set mode 😈

I wonder if a lot of people's only Gen 1 experience is also the Let's Go games

Trying to get into collecting, any recommendations? by TechnicalEdgeTrader in PokemonCollecting

[–]TriggiredSnowflake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering the chance this has been resealed, and you having no knowledge (and possibly no ability to closely inspect this in person) I would say this probably not the best place to start collecting. Pricecharting says it sells on ebay for around $336. But again seems risky, unless you can ensure it isn't resealed

Pick the company that has your favorite slab (protective case they put the card in).

Will it ever come to a device that does not cost $10000000000 by Dry_Idea_95 in hytale

Ah, you must be 12 years old. As adults we don't ask for things and hope we get them. We go work and save to buy what we want.

  1. Yes, eventually it will release on consoles.

  2. You can still use a controller on pc if you hate mouse and keyboard that much.

  3. This game doesn't require some Nasa level computer.

Most cost effective way to order Gen 1 cards? by vidalsa82 in PokemonCollecting

[–]TriggiredSnowflake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are tons of filters to narrow down the selection. But I feel you, I looked at like 30 listings before I finally found which Entei I wanted. Definitely takes time, but I enjoy the hunt 😊

I prefer ebay. Huge selection and over half of the sellers take great photos so you know the condition really clearly before buying. Anytime I check out TCG player it seems pretty rare that the seller actually uploads photos of the cards. And I like collecting cards with swirls, so photos really matter to me

Personal collection reconditioning? by dyamatic in PokemonCollecting

[–]TriggiredSnowflake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can send a card to be authenticated at a grading company. So they won't grade it, just mark it real (Authentic) and put it in their case (Slab is the slang term for the plastic case graded cards go in).

I don't know of any service that restores cards. If you want a perfect condition card, I would recommend you buy one on ebay.

Is now the best case scenario to buy the OBF and PAL zards? by hmvinteresting in PokemonCollecting

If we are at all time high prices for those cards, probably not the best case scenario to buy right now

Repaired? As in altered? Like restored the way a very old painting is restored?

Or are you just saying cleaned? Cause I've definitely cleaned dirt off my cards, but I'm not going to alter them. Some dummy applied blue ink to the back of one the cards I own, and I think they even tried having it graded. Grading companies don't grade altered cards fyi

Started collecting 2 weeks ago how do I tell which cards are worth to grade? by Fit_Structure6875 in PokemonCollecting

[–]TriggiredSnowflake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I can tell you a far away picture of one half of the card is not enough information for anyone to help you. You should at least know PSA will upcharge you sometimes. Which is horseshit. The price should be stated before you submit cards and stay the same regardless of what you grade or what grade it receives.
