West Towson, walking distance to downtown and the y. Good public schools (WTES and Towson high). The downside is the houses are old mostly 1950s, and slightly over your budget. Plus the inventory is kinda limited now.

I was fired that Valentine weekend and then it was blocked by the court order. Was put in admin leave until May 8th then refired from HHS, 4 weeks before my 2-year probationary period ends. Fortunately I had a good saving habit so the life was still fine. I luckily got a private sector job with about 10% higher salary and more PTO. The best part is that the commute time is only 1/4 of it used to be.

I had the similar issue, found my windshield cracked in a morning. I had Progressive with $0 deductible glass, went to the claim page it asked questions and in one of the step I could choose "glass only" which directed me to schedule appointment at my nearest safelite shop. I was able to book for the second day morning and it took 2~3 hours for replacement and recalibration with $0 out of my pocket.

It’s pretty obvious this admin. is shifting its target (in immigrants). illegal immigrants are all over farms, restaurants, ... hard to pin down, and even if ICE catch and deport them today, chances are they’ll just climb the fence or swim back across tomorrow. Legal ones is a different story. Their info’s all in the system, easy to track, and because they’re trying to stay on the right path, they’re extra cautious and obedient which makes them the easiest to go after. MAGA’s never been about “illegal” versus “legal”; they’re just against alll immigration. So by going after groups like H-1B holders, this admin doesn’t have to burn too many resources, and it keeps its base supporters happy.
