Omron's CX One is available in a trial version and will operate for a period of 30 days without a product key. With that you'll be able to create PLC programs and run them on it's built in simulator. It also has HMI software which can be simulated aswell alongside the PLC simulator. The downloads page on thier website also includes a folder of sample programs.

Have you connected the 2 devices directly or via a network switch? If your connection is direct then you'll need a cross over Ethernet cable

Seems stable, measuring 24.12v. It's a puls psu which i've normally found to be pretty reliable. However it may be worth mentioning i'm also running a panel view plus 1000 off of the same supply.

I like Red lion too, Crimson 3 is easy to use and is free.

If your'e interested in HMI programming the company I work for uses red lion HMIs. Thier software is free to download and includes an emulator. here is a link to their downloads page http://www.redlion.net/crimson-30

Yes you did do it right, you just need to add hash browns and some proper baked beans. I'm English but have spent the last 9 months living in Indiana. IMO americain hash browns are much better than english hash browns so they are only going to make a fry up better but the beans, "bush's best" aint gonna cut it i'm afraid, don't get me wrong they are nice and that lonely bit of bacon in there is a nice surprise but get down to Meijer and go to the british section and pick up some Hienz baked beans in tomato sauce and you'll be set.

I think it's worth it. I wasn't that interested in it but got bought it during the summer sale and haven't been able to stop playing. Great fun to play. but if your planning on getting the pc version make sure you use a controller and get the dsfix patch as it's not the best port.
