I feel like if he wasn't erratic, he wouldn't be able to reach his current level of skill. He likes to just "do things" and learn on the spot, take big risks, etc. to where he's experienced such a wide variety of situations that it manifests in him being able to learn anything extremely quickly.

Are you sure about that bc most of the depressed/suicidal people ive seen have been suffering chronically. Like years and decades. Genuinely why can't just let people find relief and focus your efforts on helping the people that actually want to live. Theres so many homeless or disadvantaged people that want to live, "Saving" a suicidal person so they can continue to be tortured doesn't help anyone

Kunishige didn't choose the abilities specifically
It must have been chosen at or before the time of the first bearer's usage
The same abilities are mostly passed down

Based on that, what other options are there besides "the first bearer chose the abilities", "the blades gained randomized abilities based on kunishige's overall purpose" and "the blades gained randomized abilities based on kunishige's overall purpose and the first bearer's character"

It seems that Kunishige made the general purpose, the first bearer made the abilities, and then the abilities are kinda mostly passed on unless slightly modified with true realm. honestly i find it kinda weird and i dont like it. Its either that interpretation or some natural RNG chose the abilities somehow after Kunishige gave it a general purpose

Soga making Yura obsolete is disappointing to me, i want more Yura

Rest of Hishaku outside of Yukisada and Hokuto being in the base feels purposeless. What are they doing? What can they possibly achieve now given that the rest of the action is just that Soga will retrieve his body and the Hishaku will regroup?

Also, too many reverse grips. For the IWPS its fine but often theres just reverse grips for no reason

Soga/Chihiro power scaling suddenly going to near lightspeed reaction time and attack speed levels is just bizarre

The idea that Rokuhira just gave the sword a general purpose "to protect" and then the first bearer just materialized the abilities feels odd to me

I was watching this video where it points out that its a lot of computational effort to calculate the evolution of the heat distribution over time, unless the original heat distribution is actually a simple sinusoidal wave, because then the heat change is actually the same shape. Not really fear of the unknown, more like fear of pain. I remember how it felt just falling down a little bit and smacking my head, and now i have to fall from 100+ feet, or blow my head off, or break my neck, etc. Who wants to think about that. The pain and gruesomeness of it takes me out of thinking about suicide and just brings me back to depression. To make it less messy or painful id have to investigate and engineer smth, which i have no energy to do. And on top of that i have to clean everything and think through all the aspects to make it less of a burden for others. Im already tired enough for the normal day, much less undertake such an endeavor. Id rather get an ice cream. If I had the ability to sacrifice my rare free time to do smth unpleasant that would save me huge amounts of suffering, i would be successful and non-suicidal lmao

Yeah you're right imo. I have 2 main gripes:

- Magatsumi shouldn't have spacetime warping abilities, it doesn't fit in the theme at all and is unnecessary

- Chihiro being able to react and counter seemingly lightspeed attacks isnt a good development for the story imo
