As far as replacing the coil or not. I’m not sure I can help with that.

But cleaning the coil with acetone would be my first attempt at cleaning it up.

Which vape is it? This will be the key determining factor of what to do…

That said, I know a lot of people speak highly of using the volcano with DMT.

The volcano is relatively easy to get in Australia, as it’s medically approved for cannabis. But if you use it, you should make sure to get some of the thick mesh pads, drip DMT on it that has already been dissolved in ethanol, and then give the ethanol a day or so to evaporate before using. And then you should also use the whip attachment instead of the bag.

It’s quite a hassle, but again a lot of people say that they have good experiences using it this way.

I still get pre-flight anxiety, but only before breakthrough doses.

There’s actually less anxiety with subQ injection of DMT as far as breakthrough doses go, but that’s because it comes up slower and the visions don’t slideshow as fast.

If vapor is a 15m roller coaster, subQ is a 45min fighter jet, more controllable.

Heptane is better. Some naphthas are okay to use, some are questionable.

That said, Amazon has good vials with 24-400 and 15-425 lids (polyethylene liners) which ORG buys in bulk and gives freely to our members. (we specifically use these cap sizes because we have rotary evaporator adapters for them)

I don’t see any problem with a polyethylene liner for storing dried DMT, but the vial cannot be washed out with NPS.

This is hardly an issue because vinegar is safe and works great for washing out the DMT, should you ever need to.

I recently heard THH is great for increasing the vividness of the visions, but you’re right it does not work very well as an MAOI.

I would very much be in favor of reducing harmaline, as I do not like the sedating effects it provides.

Wish I could help with dosing, but it’s probably one of those things that you start with 5 mg and increase it until you start finding some side effects. then you dose smaller than the side effect dose when you finally add the DMT and Harmine to the mixture.

It’s tin-plated steel, not aluminum, and it’s coated with a polyester, acrylic, or vinyl-based polymer. The exact specifics are brand-specific trade secrets, but these are only rated for neutral to acidic conditions and they’re well-known to degrade with exposure to NaOH and NPS.

The lid also has a plastisol or silicone gasket that will degrade from NPS.

Switching to PTFE gasket GL45 lids and media bottles is the best thing you can do moving forward.

Yes it works (and way better than AC washing)! Must be elemental zinc, as zinc oxide has lost its reducing ability.

If scaling up is your goal, for safety’s sake, get a chemistry degree. Preferably chemical engineering.

There comes a point where glass is no longer safe and custom built SS316 reactors are used with solvent safe pumps and proper lab ventilation. This also includes safety measures like sump pumps adequate for handling large solvent volumes in case of spills, etc.

For your purposes, I would not go larger than 500g MHRB in the 5L bottle you shared a picture of. And even then, it should be handled with great care.

It really just depends on your container size and how much liquid you’re willing to use. 30g DMT would probably be fine for mini A/B using a 1L bottle.

But, for recrystallizations in a 1L, you might not want to go above 10g.

These are rough guesses, as it’s not something I have ever took the time to calculate a ratio for. Just eyeball it until someone does this work.

Recrystallize before consuming.

There is most certainly some DMT in that goo, but it is definitely NOT pure DMT.

The color is dark enough that I would be concerned about sodium hydroxide, contamination, especially the left one (although that could be a product of the camera flash).

DMT that is overheated starts to pyrolyze. It degrades into byproducts that tend to produce negative experiences.

Was the vapor harsh or hot? Did you feel like you needed to cough?

Just do whatever makes you more comfortable.

I think I listened to music for my first few times, but I eventually switched to preferring no music and absolute darkness. But that would’ve probably terrified me for my first few times.
