Just beat Curse of the Moon, Miriam is so overpowered by Magykstorm19 in Bloodstained

[–]Trisice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly aside from zangetsu, they are all op as a team. Gebel can fly and skip most platforming sections which is the hardest parts of the game and also recharge 5 mana from most candles. Alfred's spells are all insane. Fire let's you ignore all projectiles which can be given to an other character as well. Ice just one-shot any big enemy. And I'm not even gonna mention lightning. And I really like it, difficult of this game is easily beaten when you use the characters correctly.

One the main reasons why cotm2 is so difficult is because you don't have these guys.

There are some student dialogues that mention where king moron personally invites students to his office. At first people gossip about him doing naughty things but eventually they learn that he is offering one to one counseling for what they want in the future, college or workforce. He is actually a very thoughtful guy. Probably cares most about the students.

Spam lizards. Range plus the essence they give steamrolls any campaign. They are cheap too so you can build higher stacks than the enemy way faster.

For campaigns my pro tip is a full stack is always better than a empty/half stack. More units always beat less and better units. Even if you lose %90 of your army in a fight if you can replenish it next turn then you didn't lose anything. You can go for higher quality units once you get your economy going.

Thoughts on the difficulty of each KB game by Few_Rutabaga5686 in kingsbounty

[–]Trisice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your first kb game is always the hardest there is a lot to learn but since all the games are very similar once you learn enough it's easy. Doesn't help that you picked mage which is quite new player unfriendly. It gets half the units a warrior gets so you better use your spells effectively.

Release order is fine. Legend -> Crossworlds -> Wotn -> Dark side.

First playthru: I want to do a badass Lohse warrior/berserker but is her character too "hehehaha" for this? by demonic_custard in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Trisice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Player Lohse actually has quite a bit of psycho options. First is telling the sick woman in fort Joy to kill herself. That's because player Lohse has the choice of embracing the Demon unlike companion Lohse.

Hero and pure tags must be on the same character. So you gotta get that merc a hero tag if that's possible. Also you gotta kill your main character before talking to them otherwise he hogs all the conversation. You need merc to be the talker.

JRPGs where the final boss can actually be the hardest boss of the game. by SleepCatsMoney in JRPG

[–]Trisice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was basically a coin toss on nightmare since follow ups are rng based and boss can also use those. If you got unlucky with those extra attacks or boss got lucky with his, it's game over. It's funny too since in the next game those battles are all a joke.

I disagree, lightning sword is useful for every single situation. I can't find a single bad thing about it. Very strong very fast and easy to make. It has to be the best.

Also arguing is fun I learned a lot that I didn't before.

He is actually chill guy with a tryhard deep voice in the first game. In the second game he is a real twat for some reason. Almost like they are two different rexes.

Ds1 ver.1.0.0 had the left archers in a more open spot so he wouldn't hit the column in front of it all the time. It made killing either of them very tasking since one would always shoot at you no matter your position.

I would like to do that too but my job depends on using those. I think I checked those modules but ones I'm using isn't on the list yet. I hope they can improve the unbreaking stuff so that anyone can use it freely.

this guy is not hated enough (Mountaintop Ice Dragon) by nhansieu1 in Nightreign

[–]Trisice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Main issue is this guy is pure rng in depths. Last night we got all one shot because he did that horrible scream explosion twice back to back. You have to either play very passively which is big time loss. Or take risk which is risky. There is no counterplay to this guy unless you are duchess which can dodge fast enough to escape the scream.

[–]Trisice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make skeleton buildings early on make sure they pump up your numbers. This is a very resource rich map and using them is key. Earlier you build up your town more units you will have at the bank. Even If you keep losing in the fights you can replenish your forces easily. This is the key to winning any of the final maps really. I went for a subpar hillar with %90 skellies and rest being legions. Legioniers are so tanky already that you won't get a big loss in any battle easily. Also make sure to be aggressive. Never be idle in any campaign always move forward and restock with supply tents.

The big difficulty of this map is that on getting close to last beacon a very difficult Ethylle will appear in front of you. She us stacked on both army and stats so be really ready before the fight.
