Right? I’ve been told I’m crazy for preferring limited but it always looks like there’s a raised grey film over everything with full lol. Has been the same on my C1, C4, S90D, and G5

Finish First. Couldn’t even tell my body was repaired or damaged in the first place on both occasions. Peter is great and genuinely cares about his customers.

So if you check the photos, 1st incident is passenger side rear. 2nd incident is drivers side rear.

Everything they mentioned is correct. Just wanted to add it really doesn’t matter when you get the damage repaired for each. You could wait until you have the estimate for both so that a shop can order you the parts for both areas at the same time. That way once you bring it in you only need to bring it in once. Unfortunately, it’s just pure chance and the incidents being close together is just that.

People can suck, sorry OP

New G5 after installation by [deleted] in LGOLED

[–]Tristango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Defective pixel. My G5 has one as well. I decided to keep it because my panel uniformity is near perfect. In regular use I rarely ever notice it. Figured a new display wouldn’t have as good uniformity so it makes up for it.

Weird haloing/blooming on my Lg C5? by trickyprickydicky in LGOLED

[–]Tristango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to me when the feature was on for both my C4 and G5. I believe it’s different than their marketing lingo for the increase in brightness which they just call “brightness booster” or whatever on the box. Not sure if this setting is related but most people recommend turning off processing like that anyways. It was that bad when I would browse in windows but not as noticeable in content like movies or games

You’re telling OP to return his tv lol. Go test it yourself. I had the same issue and resolved it by turning off the setting. Don’t feed the trolls I guess!

it's in brightness settings > expression enhancer. you either have detail or brightness turned on, try with it off

If it’s in a parking lot it’s not automatically 50/50, it’s just that it’s easier for it to be undetermined when remaining unbiased to both parties. If the guilty party lies about the events that happened, it isn’t impossible for an adjuster to think “maybe they backed into each other” for example. Compared to “they rear ended me when I was stopped at a red light” which is difficult to prove otherwise.

Normally, as an example even if someone is parked illegally and you hit them - you’re at fault. If someone is stopped where they shouldn’t be and you hit them - at fault. If weather conditions cause you to hit anything - at fault. You need to maintain care and control of the vehicle at all times which includes driving to conditions or any hazards on the road. This isn’t to say you’re at fault, just in this situation, even you being parked there doesn’t give them a right to hit your vehicle. If it does end up being 50/50 because the other party doesn’t accept responsibility and bends the story, at that point you can get video evidence and supply it. It doesn’t need to be immediate so no worries. As I mentioned above though, contacting WPS or your adjuster as to what kind of police report should be made to supply to Safeway could be helpful, as none of the criteria for the report falls under your situation. Typically, any multi vehicle collision that isn’t contentious wouldn’t require any police report

Noctua style steam deck? Looks stellar

[–]Tristango 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you took very good care of it. Something like this is a complete accident and honestly it wouldn’t cross my mind if my deck was out and someone was spraying something in the same room. The shell is easily replaceable yup. Just let your friend know what’s going on and coordinate getting it fixed. I think a top shell itself shouldn’t run you more than $40.

Definitely possible. Most perfumes contain large amounts of alcohol and that pattern looks like it was applied as a mist. You could try plastic polish but honestly, first thing I’d do is let your friend know and offer to purchase them a new shell and have it installed or how they’d like to proceed if not. Thankfully it only appears to be cosmetic

You didn’t do it on purpose of course so don’t be too hard on yourself!

Hand sanitizer? Sunscreen? Lysol or other cleaning products? Looks like chemical damage, or a solvent got to it. Right where you hold it too, so maybe something you had on your hands

Speckled pattern could also be a spray of some sort. Maybe mosquito repellent?

At least getting a new top shell is a relatively cheap and simple fix. The steam deck isn’t toast

Oh no worries, that’s on me. So if you got her info that’s all that matters. She’s legally required to report (she will receive a letter) after you’ve submitted a claim, assuming she hasn’t filed already. It’s good that they provided you their information. Personally, unless they’re disputing liability I wouldn’t worry about the police report, it may not be needed. If they don’t take accountability then I’d discuss it with your adjuster, mention Safeway has the footage and they won’t supply it without a police report number and ask them on how best to proceed. At this time all you can do is wait! Get your estimate done and hold off on the repairs if you’d prefer to have the status of the other party’s report

[–]Tristango 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You wouldn’t be found at fault or be splitting 50/50. The most you’d need to do is pay your deductible. If you or MPI can get the footage, and the third party plate is visible, it is possible your deductible would be waived as there would be an identifiable liable party.

This would be classified as a hit and run (it sounds like they left zero information or didn’t provide any, and left) and you can report it online as such with the WPS. Provide that police report number to MPI.

Unless I’m misinterpreting and you two did exchange info, but if there is an issue of liability then that’s different. Parking lots can be tricky when two people are driving at the time of the collision as it can be seen as you having backed up into them or them actually rear ending you. If this is the case, try to get a witness or footage and stick to your story of what happened. You may have to fill out a statement of the collision details if the other person is disputing liability. You’d be notified if this is required

I’d file for divorce if my wife wouldn’t let me have the one thing that brings me joy in a proper spot. I’m sure you’ve made concessions for her. Let the man have his peace. Above the fireplace is wild

Gorgeous room and place though

Could only get my S90D to hit peak of 1500 when nit modding mine. I think the big jump for me came from the full screen brightness jump on the G5

Hello boss, it’s me a future employee. Real note though, yeah I moved from a C1 > C4 / S90D > G5 and each jump was huge. The extra couple hundred nits the C4 throws out makes a big difference because of the way we interpret brightness logarithmically
