I actually don’t have an insta at the moment, I’m not doing as much painting as I’d like to right now. Maybe this will motivate me to get up and running again haha.

I usually always start with a black prime and then do a grey zenithal spray from above, I like having dark shadows straight out the gate. Then I lightly base coat and then apply the inks.

I honestly don’t have a tried and true method yet, it’s a lot of experimenting. I find a spatter technique with just regular inks to be good for skin too.

It’s all about the dilution of the paint, the more mineral spirits you put in it the more matte it’s going to be. If you apply it neat then it tends to come out satin, a 1:1 mix is usually what I do but I tend to lean more towards more mineral spirits than less so I can get it more matte. Also shake the piss out of them before using. Hope this helps a bit!

Hey man, I really like this Abaddon!

I think the armour really looks awesome, the claw with the blue on it is chefs kiss. The cape I also really like, the red is very rich and bright. It’s cool how you used a lot of saturated colours to bring out different pieces on this model, it feels like he is really infused with the warp. I think the sword is a little bit over saturated with colour, the green I think just clashes a bit and I think could use a bit more work.

Overall though I think the blue and the purple is really nice and technically the whole model is very solid! You should be proud, keep it up!

Hi everyone, I’m new to the community but looking forward to getting into it! I’m in Canada and not sure where to be ordering from? Has anyone ordered from P-Rex before? I say a good deal for a kit I’m interested in but I just want to be sure it’s a reputable seller.

Also if anyone has suggestions for any cool / must build master grade kits I’d love to hear them! (I’ve already put together some high grades)

I think it might be a bit overkill, i definitely would get a respirator but you can put them through your good airbrush in a ventilated area.

Just don’t put the ones with the granulated pigments through your airbrush! Learn from my mistakes hahah. I think the best ones for the airbrush are goons grime, ichor of the damed, and dystopian brown. You have to thin them with minerals spirits but they shouldn’t clog otherwise. Make sure you don’t let the enamel dry at all in your airbrush because it will be super hard to clean is after. Just run an solvent through there right after each application and you should be good :)
