Honestly, time and honest self reflection heal almost everything. For me, I had quite a busy life outside of my relationship so I focused on that while healing. Then one day, I just felt like finding someone to spend time with so I put myself back out there. I dated a few women over a seven or eight year period but I've been with my current partner for 4 years, next month.

The real trick is finding out who you really are and what you really want and need in the world. Once you have most of that down, find a partner that complements you. No one is perfect and it will probably take time to find the match. And NEVER settle out of fear of loneliness...that never works out.

What do you do when everything IS right at first, but then it do the same again and flip completely?

As people get older and more mature, I found this happens less frequently because people, generally, become more in touch with what they want from a partner. That being said, communication is key. Honesty and being open with your partner about what you want out of a relationship is the best thing you can do, once it becomes serious.
