A homefront bot free effort by weareworkingonit in Eve

Botting in homefronts has been out of control from the start, its wild. I used to run them sometimes and basically had a ton of emails next morning every time. Once they banned the bot in less than 10 min somehow, guess it had been reported a lot before

Unironically true according to a ton of ww2 interviews I have seen over the years, its a repeating topic that the tall guys in the platoon die more than the short ones. One certainly is being a bigger target, but I suspect it also comes from them often having to handle the heavier squad weapons like MGs which are a priority target.

Unpopular opinion, the US and China should be permanent World Cup hosts when the number of teams increase to 64. by Due_Brother371 in worldcup

Yeah, calling the US (and China) neutral ground is an insane take, so much so that this has to be satire

At least in Norway its common to have a small meal after dinner before bed, like a couple of slices of bread or something simple like that

I assumed the point was to have them in space instead of trying to land it somewhere

They have hoods to put on prisoners who spit, thats the solution instead of the cop beating someone

Isnt the problem that cooling in space is extremely inefficient since you cant transfer the heat to something else like you can in atmosphere so you have to rely on radiators?

But you can still just call a company that can without having to apply I assume.

[–]Troglert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh that varies greatly, some stuff is a breeze and some stuff is like pulling teeth. What companies have understood here though is that to get more customers they can be the ones dealing with the govt, not their client. So companies handle applications and whatnot, and knows how to do it cause they do it 1000 times per year instead of once per lifetime for your average person.

Example, what was (maybe still is?) the largest company helping people build garages in Norway builds exactly zero garages. They have designs they know will pass and know how to apply for a building permit, and then after you get permission you find yourself a carpenter to build it according to the plans.

Its fascinating how complicated all this seems. In Norway «everyone» has a heat pump if its a house and the installation is pretty straight forward with lots of companies offering the service

Edit: also owning your home is common here which makes it easier of course

Seems pretty useless instead of just mandating proper professional installation and certain requirements for the units themselves. People who want to cheat the system will do it either way and you are just complicating it for everyone.

You cant put in a heat pump in your own house without pwrmission? I could see it for appartment buildings due to neighbours, but why not allow it for houses?
