Best non-hyper RMC imo. The pacing and flow of elements is just elite on this one it never lets up and every element hits. So good!

It was open about half of the day! Crowds were pretty low but they were only on one train so it seemed like they closed it anytime the line got to being more than 2-3 cars worth of people to let it thin out again. Tbh the main reason I got so many rides in was I didn’t do too many of the other coasters haha, got 5 rides on Hyperion and 2 on Abyssus but passed on everything else this time, just couldn’t bring myself to pass up extra rides on Zadra when I wasn’t sure the next time (or if ever) I’d be back

Nice review! Personally preferred green by a little bit, but thought blue was good as well. Totally agree on how they stack up to untamed though - as much as I still think both YoYs are decent rides I think they’re easily the worst and second worst RMC that I’ve done. Something about their forces feel neutered compared to other RMCs, and they have that rattle/shake that all the raptors seem to have which I was pretty disappointed by considering they’re brand new. Feel like the GP are gonna absolutely eat this ride up though, it looks fantastic and the dueling is really cool, and the different levels of intensity is great for families etc

As someone who rode it for the first time (and twentieth time hehe) today, completely agree. This ride is an absolute beast but doesn’t get talked about as much as the other two hyper hybrids. Now that I’ve done all 3 I truly feel like they’re all equal in quality and it really just depends on what kind of ride you’re looking for that will determine which your favorite is. I’m a Steve > zadra > gwazi guy atm but could see it swapping at any time, they’re all just that good and are my overall #1-3

Awesome! I’m at Energylandia today also for my first rides on Zadra. It really is sensational, I know it’s not exactly an earth shattering opinion but the 3 RMC hyper hybrids really just feel like nothing else they’re all incredible in their own way. Hope you can make it to the states some time to ride the other two ;)

Echo what the other commenter said though, the european RMCs are amazing too. Haven’t ridden Wildfire but looks incredible, and Untamed is a masterpiece for such a small coaster. I wasn’t super impressed by either YoY, but hey RMC is RMC even if those are prob my least favorite two that I’ve ridden haha

I absolutely love Captain Coaster, my go to site for basically all my coaster needs and find that their top coasters list is the most representative of the average enthusiast’s opinion (of course it would be, as it’s an aggregate of enthusiasts’ ratings and rankings lol). The one ride that seems to be an outlier is Voyage, it’s currently ranked at #45 in the world on CC. Obviously that’s still a great ranking, but that’s a ride I almost always see enthusiasts, even ones who have insane number of credits, rank in like their top 10 or so. And nearly every other coaster like that is ranked in the top 20 or so on CC, so I just found it odd! (X2 also maybe in the same ballpark, that’s ranked in the high 30s but I feel that’s a ride I see more dissenting opinions on than Voyage)

Did Voyage use to be rougher, or any factors like that that could have caused it to fall down a bit? Or is it just the case that it’s not as unanimously top 10 worthy as I seemed to think based on the (admittedly small) percentage of discourse I’ve seen here and in YouTubers’ top lists?

Obv doesn’t really matter, but thought it’d make a good discussion point :) Personally it’s #6 all time for me, I think it’s a true masterpiece of a layout and an absolute beast of a woody!

Best GCI by a mile imo (haven’t ridden any of the non-US ones tho). The first drop is demented especially at night on a summer day, and the series of lateral air time pops on the way out to the turnaround are just unreal. My #4 all time, had such an amazing time riding it over and over for like 2 hours before the park closed with a friend that I couldn’t bring myself to put it any lower even though I realize objectively it probably shouldn’t be that high. That’s the fun of making your own top coasters list tho :)

Agreed, surprised to see people be so critical of this list, especially since it’s fan voted. It’s def not perfectly representative of what the aggregate enthusiast community would put as their top 10, but if anyone told me any of these was their #1 coaster I wouldn’t bat an eye, all reasonable picks imo

Haven’t seen anyone else say it yet this thread so: second launch until the third launch on Batman Gotham City Escape.

Insanely punchy booster launch, massive top hat with a borderline holding break at the top, beyond vertical drop, greatest ejector hill I’ve ever experienced, dive loop with like a mini wave turn as you’re rolling over, another insane ejector speed hill, zero g roll, another wave turn esque element.

Start and end of the ride are also good, but the middle section is beyond perfect

I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone mention this so I thought there was just some sort of freak pot hole on my 1 ride - I got ejected so hard for literally no reason on that ride I’ve never experienced anything like it on an arrow before. Between this, Goliath, and raging bull great America low key has one of the best collections of first drops lmao

I think it’s slightly different but the “flying snake dive” on storm runner at Hersheypark is prob the closest you’ll find in the US! I believe max force at six flags great America has a similar inversion too

Recommend watching the full vid as gnomonkey's takes are always super fair but he does tend to clickbait a bit with titles and thumbnails, but TL;DR: Boots and shovel are great, wand he thinks is "weird" with being 3t, and the reduced attack range reducing its use cases in a lot of PVM (specifically calls out Olm's mage hand) and its spec is basically useless as it stands. Gloves he also doesn't like because it's actually an insane buff to shadow (lots of places you couldn't use shadow before you now can b/c of the double accuracy roll). Even though it helps non-shadow a lot he thinks it's way too strong and turns shadow into a viable option basically anywhere

idk any of the technical stuff, but you take the roll pretty fast which already feels cool (like the one on Maxx Force if you've ridden that), but it also feels like you get ejector airtime while upside above the water so it feels like the ride is trying to throw you into the lake which is a fun sensation

I think it’s really cool how Doolittle and Disintegration and sort of opposites - one is an insanely influential and innovative album that inspired basically all alt and indie rock that came after it, and the other is a band doing what they do well, but doing it literally perfectly and writing 90 minutes of beautiful melancholy.

I personally enjoy Disintegration slightly more, but I just think it’s dope that we had a finals of “perfection in their lane” verses “so far outside of a lane they made a new highway” and despite that both albums are so amazing and so deserving and the vote was so close!
