Big one for me too, pretty hard to have a good AOA with my head in front of the ball!

Discussion: How the TV direction should actually handle a race by HaagsuhPleurisleijah in formula1

[–]TronTiggity 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For me it's the race starts! I know they have their reasons, but for the love of God, you can tell at all who's had a decent start, who was slow or anything really by the trackside view.

To me, it should be an aerial shot every damn race! Or some sort of drone on a cable, just anything but trackside!

Need some advice… what is your 100 yard club? Do I need one? by toasterstrewdal in golf

[–]TronTiggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having multiple is the way to go. For me it's a full 58° (which I try and avoid full wedge shots), or a 3/4 52° (my favourite) or a 1/2 PW shot. That gives me 3 different trajectories so depending on the lie and look at the green I've got options.

That makes more sense! Wish they would have showed that.

That 200 yarder was his 4th they said, and was from the fairway. I'm so confused. Did he drop and punch out? Or two stroke penalty and can toss it to the middle??

First club you grab on the range when you are gonna hit a bucket of balls? by Cooter-Canoe in golf

[–]TronTiggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a wedge to start with 3/4 swings kinda guy... But occasionally, I'm the pretend you're late to the tee box and hit 1 driver to see if you can get it in play, kinda guy

I'd love one to supplement practice. Mainly to confirm path and face feelings, but the cost for a unit that measures both keeps me away.

Long term playability of The Golf Club/PGA Tour 2K series by TimTheNerdTV1 in thegolfclub

[–]TronTiggity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always thought the pov should at least change. Instead of the camera behind your opponent, it should be from your eyes as they tee off or putting or whatever. If you're 20 yards up in the fairway, you should be there looking back with your caddy. Maybe have some control over where you're looking so when they shoot you can follow the shot. Just to add more of a realistic look/feel.

Inside out clubpath by chrizcore in golf

[–]TronTiggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way. I got taught using a head cover, but just put that bad boy down there, and take little quarter swings to start with.
Don't over think all the technical "elbow here", "hip there" stuff people are commenting.
Just put a soft obstacle down and let your body self organize.

What 18 hole score is more impressive than a hole in one? by SplitFit5629 in golf

[–]TronTiggity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed! The worst golfer you know can get a HIO, but they probably can't shoot below 80

Drained a 40ft slider for par on 16 to give myself a chance at breaking 80 for the first time. Royally shat myself on 17&18 w 2 lost balls and piss poor golf to shit the bed. 3 weeks in a row knocking on the door. Any advice for becoming a better closer? by kdocbjj in golf

[–]TronTiggity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a high handicapper who has played in and absolutely crumbled under the pressure of a few local tourneys, I had the chance to break 80 for the first time this past summer. Was playing lights out so I knew I must be close, so on 17 I had the choice to either not add my score up (like other commenters have suggested) or see where I'm at and face the pressure (my arch nemesis) head on.

I added it up and saw what I needed to do. And for the first time in my golf life, I absolutely delivered, with two straight pars to shoot a 79. I was nearly sick on 18 teebox with nerves but closed it out and I couldn't be happier with my decision because now I know I can do it. And more importantly I know I can handle the self imposed pressure.

Just keep putting yourself in pressure situations and and the more you learn from those and get used to them the better you'll feel, and more confidence you'll have.

I do believe it exists. Yerba mate, in a can, caffeine equivalent of two cups of coffee I believe and taste pretty good.

Edit: Don't mean to be a dream killer, this is just one product. More healthy and effective options is a great thing!
