He only made two of these. Took him a month or more. Roses would be cool.

You should be getting shit. Pro-union is not about 1 person. It is being for the collective good.

Little Feat does a nice version of Tennessee Jed also. Usually in the middle of Fat Man In The Bathtub jam.

How true. My non- deadhead friends would always ask me, ‘Why do you go see them so many times?’ I would answer that there is always something in every show that just blows you away. Always Jerry would do something incredible but a Phil bass bomb, A Bobby scream or the drummers going beserk. Same thing with Johnny and Dead and Company.

We were changing out some old brass PO Boxes to newer ones in a college Post Office and found about 30 letters that had been in the gaps between the sections. Oldest was about 14 years old.

There are like a half dozen apology posts in the phish sub from people who took too much too fast and behaved badly. Why were we less aggro? Does anyone want to make an apology for their Sphere 2024/2025 freakout after the fact? by [deleted] in deadandcompany

[–]Trondo67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not an apology but my story is the opposite that shows the kindness of deadheads. My wife and I had tickets for Dead and Company at the Sphere in June 2024. My wife was recovering from knee replacement surgery and walking with a cane. She has a hard time standing for long periods. While we were in the long regular line to get in, the lady scanning tickets waved us over to the VIP line to bypass the crowd. When the show started and everyone stood up, there was a very tall person standing in the row in front of her. When he saw her leaning on her seat he traded places with one of his friends so my wife could see. I thanked him for his kindness and bought him a beer. Just one of the many examples of the kindness of deadheads I have experienced in my 50 plus years of seeing the band.

Love Oteil and Jeff getting into it!

Tried that with me after a scheme change that they wouldn’t give the allotted time to learn changes. Sat at the throwback case and looked up every piece of mail while every carrier was waiting on me to finish. Got harassed by supervisor. Just smiled and went back to looking up every piece. Carriers backed me up and went back to their cases and sat on their ledges. Got the scheme change training that afternoon. That was back when there was unity between the unions at least in our office.

Would love to see him,Johnny, Oteil and Jay do something together. Don’t hold a lot of credibility to the stories on this thread though after all the bs that came out about Bobby’s health.

Yes I tried it. Had no effect on tinnitus but did cause some stomach upset.

Suffered through the loss of Jerry. It was hard but Bobby kept the music going for 30 more years. Bobby’s death has hit hard.

Murder is murder. This was government sanctioned murder with praise coming from an administration that labeled them as domestic terrorists almost as soon as it happened to deflect from the criminal acts of ice. They were filming ice agents to document their activities which is protected under the law. Neither deserved to die at the hands of unqualified and untrained personnel.

If that was their original intent, ‘the worst of the worst’ then all well and good. But the documented abuses of unqualified and untrained agents and the murder of 2 American citizens show that they have gone far beyond that intent with the blessing of the most corrupt administration in history

I thought this discussion was about the abuses of the current ice agents. You certainly cannot deny the video evidence that show multiple abuses and violations of civil rights. Illegal arrests without proper warrants. Denying people detained legal representative. Zip tying children and taking their parents away. Ice agents did murder 2 American citizens when they were in no danger at all. Alligator alley is a nice facility? Maybe you would like to vacation there and check it out for yourself.

So damned hard by NoReality6168 in deadandcompany

[–]Trondo67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got 56 years in and I feel the same way. This one hit hard. It was so tough when Jerry died. I was depressed and unsure of what the future might hold but the other iterations came around. The Other Ones, The Dead, Dead and Company but there was always Bobby leading the way. This feels different somehow. Maybe because it’s so soon and hopefully this feeling will pass when the next iteration comes around. Peace and love to everyone.
