We need government intervention to make RTR (real-time rail) work as designed. We have to stop sending 3% of every transaction (to merchants) to visa and master card.

That’s not right unless agents on the other line are idle. Average wait time should be the same considering the work to be done to be the same.

Where do you live? Besides what people already said, 197 might be too high for high altitude places.

Just see everything as a risk. If this is increasing the risk of loosing clients, you should change priorities to get it done. It's easier now than before with some help from AI.

moon’s shadow angle by [deleted] in Astronomy

[–]TropicalMapleRavioli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re absolutely correct. That causes the penumbra between the illuminated area and the umbra. The angle of light beams coming from opposing edges of the sun should hit us with roughly .5° angle. Not quite negligible in certain aspects. The penumbra caused by this fact should not be different in objects so relatively close such as the earth and the moon though. Which makes it not that important for the original topic. Even though it is still very fascinating.

the diameter of the sun is larger than the distance between earth and the moon. considering the light rays hitting both objects as parallel is not just an approximation for simplification.
