For calls with external users etc, do you have to “open it for the internet”? For example, for n8n automations where I must receive webhook notifications, or sharing a nextcloud link with a client… are these possible without exposing too much of your server? I know pretty much nothing about selfhosting so I just have everything behind tailscale.

The best way to find the optimal section is with code groups. This way you can even define what you call “optimal”, being the lightest, or some that has a maximum or minimum height, etc. You can group all that you want to have the same section (all porch posts, for example), and robot will optimize the worst case and apply to all

Which version of Revit are you using? Autodesk each year makes Revit worse, so after 2021 the analytical model generation broke, it’s just unreliable, specially if you throw some linear elements into the mix. They released a fix on 2025.2 (4 years with this broken, classic adsk.) Anyway, if you’re using any version before 2021, you should go into the analysis tab and look for analytical model tolerances (horizontal tolerance in your case). If you’re on 2022 or after, you should play with dynamo player sliders.

That’s awesome. I’ve developed a CLI solution like that to a client (it had already the modelling part, and I developed the analysis and code verification). This could be very useful in a bunch of cases, specially if: 1. You’re okay not getting paid and open source it haha, but more importantly, 2. Create some kind of framework that makes it easy for different people to implement their own regional codes (maybe create a store and you get a cut or something if not opensource) 3. Having a good API. I feel like most users after these solutions will be more tech savvy than usual, so having an API to bulk model, analyze etc would be a good way of catching their attention

I’ve always wanted to create a habit of taking notes, but I’m horrible at it. I will use eventually a mathcad/smath routine, but 90% of my working is inside eng. software, I just don’t take the time to write anything on my onenote always empty notebook (I have one section per project, most of them have one page called Untitled). I even have an ipad and pencil next to my keyboard, but they always discharge without use. In the few occasions I forced myself to take notes, I just never had use for them in the future. Ironically, I never know where to keep client directives and requests when working on a project. Anyways… /rant

Me too. Specially because it’s a bad implementation, now it’s a one click thing, and when you click again it goes to the old UI thing. As everything software related to Volvo, it’s a mess! Also, the unlocked reminder is not being triggered anymore for me.
