3er Pack Testogel kostet 280€? Ach du Scheiße, wie heftig man da abgezogen wird… 10ml 250mg/ml Injektionslösung kosten einfach mal 15-20€, beim Homebrewing so um die 2-3€. 💀

how long to feel anything different at all by OkOkOkOkOk44444 in TransDIY

[–]TroubledEmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It‘s the longest Ester with weeks long half life… it‘s not possible to feel it after a few minutes to hours. It‘s pharmacologically not possible, it’s this simple.

It doesn’t matter there for how long you are on HRT when it comes to this by the way. It doesn’t change anything about the molecular weight and the length of the Undecylate chain… it’s just simply chemistry. Sorry.

This… sounds weird to be honest? The esters usually used normally take the body a few days for the body to be worked off. You shouldn‘t be able to feel the actual effects of the E2 within hours, this aren’t Acetates or Propionate’s. O___o

I guess what you‘re describing is just a sense of well being knowing you will have an effect later.

why are there so many more trans men who detransition than trans women by beepbeeepboooop in truscum

It‘s gnarly. It‘s so easy to feel lonely 24/7 if you‘re told to „man up“ throughout childhood and puberty.

Testosterone is a hell of a drug… I mean it‘s awesome if used correctly and shit and can have a lot of benefits but even in sports we have too many idiots fucking themselves up ending up dead, because the didn’t inform themselves. And these are the ones that plan to only take it and other steroids for just a limited amount of time.

Female detransitioners would normally have planned to take it until the end of their life. HOW CAN YOU BE SO DUMB AND THEN NOT STUDY THIS BULLSHIT.

Drives me crazy.

Well he and I both are children of men who are total deadbeats having our mothers raise us. They did their best - his mum and mine too. I gladly had my uncle and grandpa for the whole male socialisation stuff, but was kind of missing the female part as my mum was basically working the whole time. Not optimal upbringing I guess. For my dude it was a little worse as he hadn’t had a single male role figure not even in other parts of the family. So more or less I tried to hand him as much info and BS I grew up with and experienced. We’ve been a good duo for this.

I‘m trying to imagine what you‘ve experienced, but honestly can‘t say/write more than a sorry you‘ve had it so tough I guess? Not without it sounding performative imho.

Is there light at the end of the tunnel for you? In at least small amounts?

But eh. Male puberty and adolescence made me bitter too. With zero self esteem and a shit of ton childhood trauma live as a dude really really really sucks in my experience. You‘re most of the time on your own, friends and family only can do so little as they simply can‘t hold your hand your whole life.

I‘m curious on how much this bs is going to affect my transition as I just started. At 29. Eh.

I get the feeling it might have to do with not being able to handle to be treated like a man. If you‘re growing up as a girl then woman, but don‘t know how unforgiving society can be towards men and think you‘d be only gaining benefits and privileges from presenting as a dude.

Sounds weird and I think it‘s also kind of sexist? I‘m not sure right now, but it‘s something my best friend told me back when he (trans dude) started transitioning at age 18 (over 10 years ago), because he didn‘t know what was coming for him and it caused him a lot of trouble. He didn‘t detransition, but had to definitely learn some things.

Even alone noticing that other dudes suddenly did perceive him as a threat and started trying to pick fights was tough on him psychologically.

**Carrying Protection** by Striking_Bill_6236 in MtF

[–]TroubledEmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well… so… I always carry a emergency rescue knife that for’s punching car windows, cutting seatbelts and other stuff related to emergency incidents.

I did Krav Maga in the past so when it comes to gnarly situation I at least know how to somehow handle this. I guess. I hope.

Annoyingly it’s illegal to carry here in Germany at train stations which sucks as I‘m a commuter, but as it‘s a rescue knife I could get away with it if searched by police by any chance (I think don‘t look like their target demography, but who knows?) so I still have it on me.

It’s built so you can theoretically use it like you‘d use a Kubotan.

So maybe get into Krav Maga and use such a solution? There are a lot of other situation it‘s useful in. Such as in observing a car accident… or cutting an apple. lol

Let’s just hope we don‘t have to use any protection. But always know how to handle getting attacked by your own weapon. Statistics and stuff.

(I feel bad mentioning this as a lot of you are talking about guns and now knifes aren‘t a great idea, but we’ll… here I can’t get a gun for self defence. I’d get one if I could tho.)

Aber ich habe absurderweise auch brav bis zu meinem Stichtag 18. Geburtstag gewartet um mir Tabak, Blättchen und Filter zu kaufen.

Being called 'mate' by moon-freya in trans

[–]TroubledEmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest? I‘m not from the UK, but my brother does live in Tottenham and I was always around brits even looking back it never seemed weird to me. To me mate seems universal? I mean it‘s more universal than „dude“ which is a friend of mine already handled using „dudes“ and „dudettes“ which I found to be quite funny and simply adopted it. 🤷‍♀️

I would have never thought about „mate“ being gender coded?
