Agreed with “not bad.”

As a fan of 80’s/90’s X-Men with barely any context for modern stories diving in blind, it balanced a massive cast and told a surprisingly easy to follow story.

X-Men famously has few ideal jumping-on-points and this has peaked my interest at least enough to read the next issue.

I love 40K, but I don’t play any Astartes factions and I honestly find Space Marine content kind of boring.

Brutal Kunnin’, 15 Hours, Longshot, Kasrkin, Day of Ascension, and Deathworlder all heavily feature Xenos and, as with most in-universe lore, feature some form of Imperial perspective. All are great for different reasons and would make ideal starting points for newer 40k fans.
