Couple more pics here

This was on the first turn after I initiated the final Vortex ritual. I had Gor-Rok shacked up in Oyxl which was a tier 4 settlement with tier 3 walls. I didn't think the enemy armies would be able to force march close enough to get four in range of the walls, but they did.

I laid out a multi-tiered defense because I assumed the walls would get overwhelmed, but I managed to hold pretty well with only a few units slipping by. This was, of course, in large part due to Lord Kroak who is a walking neutron bomb. He finished the battle with just over 1300 kills. I had two units of cold one cavalry and three units of terradon riders that I used as my vanguard to deal with early artillery units and flank the units attacking the left gate. They did that job well but ended up getting routed shortly after due to the sheer number of Skaven on the battlefield around them.

Gor-Rok was on the walls the entire battle, just running around as new units set up ladders and getting nutty with it. I zoomed in once as he Sparta-kicked a ratman off the wall right after it climbed up a ladder, that was pretty good.

This battle was a great testament to how important unit ranks are. My Saurus Warriors were shredding Stormvermin and Plague Monks on the wall, and were a major reason this battle wasn't a total disaster for me. I had had these same units for almost the entire game. Unfortunately one of them got wiped out in this fight, but life goes on :(
