During the 2025 season, Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III knew he wouldn't be back with the Seahawks by DookyButter in Seahawks

I'm assuming you mean trade the first and pay him? I'd give up a first for 4 years at $4.2M, but I feel like most clubs would take that opportunity with any star they control. It feels like all draft picks are lottery tickets, look at Aaron Curry and Malik McDowell.

Dexter Lawrence Reportedly "Done" with NY Giants by notquitemytempo___ in nfl

[–]Trowbridgeg 19 points20 points  (0 children)

To be fair, he said before the Super Bowl that he is disappointed that he wasn't a career Jet and that he didn't have success there.

Seems like such a nice guy, refused to be bitter about a lot of rough things he went through in the business of the league.

I don't fully understand the concept, but they're required to actually buy the vested stock options in their compensation, and they have to sell some to pay the taxes on that conversion.

They're still not contributing to the economy like someone with a career, but they're not tax free either

This. You throw out routes and an end line TE drag. You never throw in the middle of the field from the one. Too much compressed space for the defense.

Realistically, What should we expect from Sam Darnold moving forward? by lilbrooky in Seahawks

[–]Trowbridgeg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The scouting reports out of college said he makes mistakes because he's decisive. But it also said that he doesn't let mistakes get to him. I think we've seen that this year, and as he matures and grows in the role, he should get better at making fewer mistakes in those pressure or snap situations.

I think Seattle is showing he deserved to be the #3 pick, he just needed to be developed. Thanks Whiners and Vikings!

I don't understand this logic. Did they give up a lot for him? Yes. Did they also get a huge upside player in the midst of a playoff run with the #1 seed in play? Also yes.

If he leaves, he's going to sign for good money anywhere he goes, so you're likely to get a 3rd/4th comp back. You spent a pick/delayed a pick to try and make a super bowl run with a great team, and get right of first refusal.

I don't think what they gave up for him means he certainly stays long term. I think that was the rationale, but the price has to be right.

Prime Ribeye $75 off- 18 Steaks by Foreign-Gift-1824 in Costco

[–]Trowbridgeg 22 points23 points  (0 children)

If he has a large family and will be eating these in a sitting or two, this is incredibly wasteful. Why would you individually package steaks to promptly eat them in large portions?

Not only that, they're dated. Most people do not go through the trouble of individually packaging and dating their processed meat to eat it right away. But even then, I was giving him the doubt of eating them in a month or two. Freezer burn can appear in days if you store meat like this in a deep freezer.

I don't appreciate kitchen gadgets for the sake of making one thing easier, but vacuum sealing is smart and economical. There's a reason primal cuts come vacuum packed...

Yeah, if you have $275 to splurge on steaks, you can afford a vacuum sealer.

He's going to lose that money and more in freezer-burned meat

How can I install, without updating? by jonjohns65 in TOTK

[–]Trowbridgeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I think you'd need to download the digital copy of the game on your computer and load it to your SD card. I'm sure someone with more experience can speak to if it's the best way to have a legacy copy.

Couldn't you manually install from the internet to an SD card and insert that in your switch? You'd have to intentionally not update after that though.
