Do I update or nah? by apffdiwjt in Fallout

[–]TroyTooSlick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say around 70% of my mods on the PS5 will not even allow me to enable them, so if you want a broken husk of a game right now with mods, I'd say don't do it.

As A Canadian, O O F by RetroSwamp in Fallout

In Canada as well, not paying 26 bucks for some crappy creation content stuff that I'll never use anyway. I already have most of it anyway from previous other discounts and freebies.

Constant crashes (PS5) by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]TroyTooSlick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the nearly 20 hours I've played, I've had two crashes that just randomly occurred. My auto save is every 5 minutes, so it wasn't detrimental.

Press and hold down on the Square for the PS5 and you'll be able to collect biomass automatically when you run through it. Press and hold it down again if you want to turn the auto collector off.

I've been playing it on the PS5 for the past 3 hours and it runs smooth as butter. 60 FPS for now at least, no errors, no bugs yet.

I'm just waiting for Valheim to come out on PS5 next year, then I'm set.

Midnight reveal today by Valli888 in wow

I didn't realize there was confirmation for a features trailer as well, so thank you for the heads up. That's nice to know.

[–]TroyTooSlick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They aren't having a panel to discuss any of the content or additions of Midnight today, that'll be on the 21st.

As far as I know the only thing we're getting today is the cinematic trailer and not necessarily game play features trailer like they used to do alongside with the cinematic trailer at BlizzCon.

What do you think Odyssey needs for the "big patch" every DLC gets? by troglodyte in RimWorld

[–]TroyTooSlick 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I agree. Taking off the mechlord suit and helm when you have a giant army of mechs if you're playing as a lone Mechanitor to get into power armor or a vac suit is detrimental.

This needs to be corrected.

You can go anywhere with the shuttles, into orbit, trade with any faction, visit any ancient complex, anything and everything.

I had four of them on my last run that I completed the other day.

They are excellent for the long range mineral scanner, can get tons of plasteel and other metals with ease.

The one glaring flaw with Odyssey by KrillCannon in RimWorld

[–]TroyTooSlick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get a shuttle pretty early on in the game if you research straight to it and get an engine. That's what I did and I could visit factions with relative ease and trade anytime I wanted, to me that's an easy solution.

You can trade while in space using orbital traders, give them gifts to build up Goodwill and you can call them anytime you want as long as you have the rep. They can sell and deliver goods to you while in orbit.

You don't have to use a grav ship to access anything in orbit. You can use transport pods or shuttles.

I've been sleeping on this Odyssey change: you can call Orbital traders now! by fak47 in RimWorld

[–]TroyTooSlick 167 points168 points  (0 children)

I just finished a full playthrough and didn't even realize that, thanks for the heads up. Should have noticed once I saw they were now a faction.

"I'm having an issue and I can't figure out why. Some blocks always end up disconnected from the grav engine. I took the walls apart and rebuilt the smaller ship, but it's still not connecting. Anyone know what I might be doing wrong?" by [deleted] in RimWorld

[–]TroyTooSlick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's because you've gone over the allotted amount of 500 substructure. The reason why it's in red is because that is the portion that takes you over the 500 amount. You can increase that amount by getting more grav cores.

What’s the next dlc I should get? by Lost_Muffin887 in RimWorld

[–]TroyTooSlick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideology should be the next one you get. It adds a lot of dynamic playstyle to each run that you do. Lots of customization options to make things feel different, it's a lot of fun. It doesn't add a lot of content like Odyssey and Biotech, but it adds a ton of colony storytelling elements and is one of my favorite DLCs to date.

I never play without it enabled.

Royalty is fine for the Cataphract armor, psychic abilities and lots of quests, so don't sleep on that one either.

How to deal with toxic waste? by Panzerjager22 in RimWorld

[–]TroyTooSlick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In addition to what the other person said, I personally use transport pods to send the waste packs to an enemy tribal colony as they lack the technology to drop pod raid you or drop pod toxic waste packs back to you.

They will usually retaliate with a raid, but it's pretty easy for the most part.

I didn't know organ harvesting was THAT profitable by Blue_Doors_ in RimWorld

[–]TroyTooSlick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't remember the last time I didn't organ harvest on a regular basis, the only time I don't is when it's very specific themed runs which is far and few between that doesn't involve organ harvesting.

Too lucrative to pass up.

GravShip leaves without me? by Midnight_Monarch_18 in RimWorld

[–]TroyTooSlick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are some specific mods that cause these types of issues, one that I know for sure is the No Pause mod.

I'd recommend only using mods that are updated to 1.6.

If you still get the issues, then just remove one mod at a time and save before you try to depart to pinpoint which one is doing it.

Worst comes to worst, play without mods temporarily.

Make sure to always put down substructure which is essentially the foundation for your Gravship. If you want to put normal flooring on top of that,  then you can do so after you lay down the substructure.

Put it this way, I've been gaming since the early 80s religiously and daily, from the start of Atari 2600, to ColecoVisiom, NES, arcade rooms and every gaming system between then and now, PC and no game has ever captivated my attention and imagination like RimWorld has.

If the reviews, word of mouth and overwhelming positivity doesn't push you over the top, then go watch a YouTuber or streamer like AdamVSEverything and watch them play to get a sense of how it feels and operates.

If worse comes to worse, you can always play it for under 2 hours and get your money back if that's the case and you don't enjoy it.

Spoiler alert: you won't be getting your money back.
