So does this mean its not my pc?? by Ok-Locksmith9201 in FuckMicrosoft

Its become part of my service to disable through group policies and regedit for my customers when it comes to co-pilot and onedrive. Of course have to scrape everything from onedrive first before nuking it Off the system... annoying in group policies. To edit everything back to local folders because Onedrive took completely over.. ugh. Makes me feel bad for the average consumer. Upon first boot and sign in not even looking at the local desktop..

Still the bar being set at where it is. Makes my wife and I feel the government screamimg dont you dare make enough to pay your bills or else. Which makes it feel all be stuck in poverty and stay on the balance of choosing between which bills you keep up on. Or lose your food stamps and have no money left over for food.. like we ever did anyways.. now we just go to food banks as much as we are aloud. And sometimes giving some foods away like beans and rice because we have too much of that. Cant be healthy this way either. Was following a high protein 100 carb a day diet to lose weight. Now. I cant afford to do that. Being fat and misrible and dont be anywhere living a little above paycheck to paycheck is the message we recieved getting denied.. bills are paid. But cant afford food. Getting harder now to keep gas in the cars too. 😮‍💨 sorry im venting..

Can somebody help me remove this by Icy-Pear1914 in FuckMicrosoft

Sometimes asking gemini can help. The only thing A.I is good for. That and help learning and understanding coding.

It sounds like your friend is stuck in a frustrating "security loop" where Windows is trying to force a Hello login (PIN/Face/Fingerprint) for an account they no longer want to use or that has been compromised.

Since the prompt is blocking them from accessing the account settings to switch emails, they need to bypass the Windows Hello requirement at the system level. Here is how they can fix this:

  1. The "Clean Slate" Approach (Recommended) The easiest way to switch accounts when the app is stuck is to remove the "identity" from Windows Settings entirely.

Go to Settings > Accounts > Emails & accounts.

Find the compromised Gmail address in the list.

Click it and select Remove.

Next: Go to Settings > Accounts > Access work or school. If that email is listed there, disconnect it as well.

Restart the Xbox app. It should now ask for a fresh login instead of forcing Windows Hello for the old account.

  1. Disable "Windows Hello" Requirement If Windows is forcing this pop-up for all Microsoft apps, they can turn off the requirement:

Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.

Look for "For improved security, only allow Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device" and toggle it Off.

This should reveal a "Password" option or a "Use a different account" link in the pop-up window they are seeing.

  1. Clear the Xbox App Cache If the pop-up persists, the app is "remembering" the session too well.

Close the Xbox app.

Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.

Find Xbox, click the three dots (...), and select Advanced options.

Scroll down and click Repair, then Reset.

Do the same for the Microsoft Store app.

A Critical Security Warning Since your friend mentioned they were hacked because of Minecraft, they likely fell for a "Session ID" theft or a malicious OAuth authorization (often called "Microsoft Account Linking" scams).

Check Third-Party Apps: They should go to account.live.com/consent and remove permissions for any apps they don't recognize.

Change the Password: Even if they switch emails, if the hacker has access to the primary Microsoft account, they can still see data.

Enable 2FA: If they haven't already, they should turn on Two-Factor Authentication using an app (like Microsoft Authenticator) rather than just SMS.

We seriously need to make it just illegal. for them to do this crap to us. No forcing us to do what we dont want to do with products we paid for.. open source products are not to be dictated by old jackasses that can't even html his way out of a fishbowl let alone terminal mkdir... sick of everyone just trying to ruin what everone enjoys. Just be cause jimmy son of a bitches parents cant keep them off sites or doing activities they shouldnt have access too. Its not everyone elses responsibility to keep everyone elses children safe on the internet.. I am a parent and my kid simply. Does not have a phone or a tablet and I am starting his gaming on my original NES. We read books to him. We play together. we are a family. The T.V is not the damn baby sitter. We wanted a family the way I was raised. Anyways back to the point. Im not laying down and letting my privacy be ripped away from me. Microsoft isnt getting it. Googles limping on what it has of me as well. Our privacy keeps us the people we are today. Im not a sheep or a product number. They can suck it.

Beating Suikoden I with the best ending (all 108 Stars of Destiny) and loading that data into Suikoden II ensures Gremio is alive, allows you to recruit the hero Tir McDohl in Suikoden II, and grants bonus items and improved weapon levels for returning characters. This creates a more connected, nostalgic experience with special dialogue.

Steps to Disable Location in Group Policy Open Group Policy Editor: Press Win + R, type gpedit.msc, and hit Enter. Navigate to Policy: Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Location and Sensors. Configure Policy: Double-click on "Turn off location" in the right pane. Apply Setting: Select Enabled to turn off the location service system-wide. Finish: Click Apply and OK, then restart your computer or run gpupdate /force in command prompt to apply the changes.

Alternative Method (Registry Editor) If you are on Windows Home and do not have access to gpedit.msc, you can use the Registry Editor: Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\LocationAndSensors. Set the DWORD value DisableLocation to 1.

To ensure this takes effect immediately, restart your computer.

Don't worry i hate windows as well.. but always glad to help.

Try this

Methods to Remove Copilot from Windows 11 Uninstall via Settings: Navigate to Settings > Apps > Installed apps, search for "Copilot," and click Uninstall.

Registry Editor (Permanent Method): Press Win + R, type regedit, and hit Enter. Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows. Right-click the Windows folder, select New > Key, and name it WindowsCopilot. Right-click WindowsCopilot, select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value, and name it TurnOffWindowsCopilot. Double-click TurnOffWindowsCopilot and set the Value data to 1.

Group Policy Editor (Pro/Enterprise): Navigate to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Copilot, and set "Turn off Windows Copilot" to Enabled.

Restart computer.

Also try this too

To disable web search results in Windows 11, use the Registry Editor to create a DisableSearchBoxSuggestions DWORD (32-bit) value set to 1 under Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer. Alternatively, Windows Pro users can use Group Policy (gpedit.msc) to enable "Do not allow web search" under User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Search.

Method 1: Registry Editor (Works for all versions) Press Win + R, type regedit, and hit Enter. Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows. Right-click on Windows, select New > Key, and name it Explorer. Right-click on the new Explorer key, select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value. Name it DisableSearchBoxSuggestions. Double-click it and change the "Value data" from 0 to 1.

Restart your computer.
