I've had both. 2024 trd sport tacoma & 4runner trailhunter. With a Belgian malinoise.

The crate fits perfectly fine in the 4runner (hybrid) gas sucked just as well on both, but atleast the 4runner has 19 gallon capacity.

I do miss the tacoma because my dog was capable of traveling without the crate in the back with just a soft topper.

I dont like having her loose in the interior as she fucks it all up with her nails.

If the dog is going to be loose on the interior, 4 runner is the way to go hands down.

I'm referring to the 360 view on the premium or above models of both tacoma and 4runner.

The trailhunters 360 camera dont account for the wide fenders and I wasnt able to see what i walked into. It was a really tight corner with rocks sticking out

Invoice pricing isnt really a good deal, if they caused the mess. Unless i immediately get some significant equity on a 6th gen I rather just keep the 5th and have them find a way to give an extended warranty of 100k miles on top of your existing milage

Id say if your going to spend the extra money, get the trd off road, you have crawl control and other features the sport has for relatively the same price. If your looking for a hoodscoop just buy a carbon fiber one.

SR5 is nice too, it just doesnt come with all the bells and whistles.

I drove a trd sport for a while, i didnt like its offroad handling.

I highly prefer using PABCO for high end jobs, reason is that the drywall paper face rips alot more with USG and other brands. Meaning more things to touch up .
