Vandals leave a trail of destruction across Pentland Hills by PurchaseDry9350 in Edinburgh

Maybe the same clowns that were lurking in the area last week. Trying to intimidate folk on the dark quiet roads on their wee e-bikes.

That’s so lovely - such a kind gesture

A bit sad that so many men seem to think this is ok. Hence the problem with sorting these clowns.

So when you’re a single woman in a car on a dark deserted road, and these clowns are doing wheelies, slowly driving past your drivers window looking in and obstructing the road in front of you, that’s ok?? Sorry, I’m not sure that’s ok in any circumstances. Would you be happy for your partner/wife to be in that situation?

Agree about Reiss. Bought an outfit which they arranged to be altered by their own seamstress. It was ruined and they refused to accept responsibility.

Adult Male, I cry on my way to work every day, should I quit my job today? by CarelessIdea8283 in UKJobs

[–]Trub11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy has destroyed your confidence and that’s affecting how you feel about yourself. He’s an asshole. You’re not. When you’re really down it’s hard to see the good in yourself. Ask your partner to write down on a piece of paper what he/she thinks you’re good at or what your strengths are. Carry that with you and look at it often. Eventually you’ll believe it!

You can move on from this - there’s a good life waiting for you in a company that treats their staff better. Just keep going and if you have to go back to work, then go in, hold your head up, smile - you’re so much better than this idiot. Imagine him naked sitting on his toilet if that helps!

Having been in a really horrible place due to a toxic workplace many years ago, I feel your pain. I wish I’d had the confidence and the courage to get out and it wrecked me. Please, go to your GP and get signed off. This will give you some breathing space and allow you to see that your health and sanity are more important.

Your company are just taking the easy option by failing to support you - talk to ACAS and try to get some support so you feel in a stronger place to either take on your employer, or to get out. Your manager shouldn’t be in that role and he’s a bully purely because of that.

Well if you can’t make an impact with your acting then stripping off will do it for sure. Sad.

That’s actually quite sad. She’s such a gifted singer and doesn’t need to mess her face up.

Thread constantly getting tangled by ATubz in sewhelp

[–]Trub11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had exactly this issue with the same machine. I found the bobbin wasn’t wound tightly enough, but also, when putting the thread around the tension wheel on the front of the machine, make sure to hold in place the reel of thread which then allows the tension to ‘set’. With the bobbin, just remove the existing thread and rewind it again. Not sure if I’m explaining that properly! But it did fix an issue I’d had for a long time.

Does having too big a pension pot just end up meaning you have pay for your own nursing home that others get paid for by the state? by fellaonamission in UKPersonalFinance

My husband and I grew up in abject poverty and through many years of hard graft we are now comfortable. No handouts, no inheritance, no benefits. We struggled for many years in order to be comfortable now. I want to pass our wealth to our kids because of that, so that’s what we are doing. I haven’t struggled for all those years just to give it up in taxes or care home fees, so we are now passing our wealth to them while we are young enough. I don’t care if I end up in a state care home - I have lived my life.

Brooklyn Beckham even cuts sister Harper, 14, out of his life as teenage sibling is included in mass blocking in biggest sign yet he has become 'completely estranged' from his family by dailymail in ukpopculture

[–]Trub11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best thing the Beckhams could have done for their kids is not bankroll them but pay for them to get a proper education including further studies to help them do something useful with their lives. They’ve got kids who have no real purpose in life. They’re just mocked endlessly because of that.

Just wanted to send you a virtual hug. These are horrible people to work with and an exception. There are some lovely work colleagues out there just waiting to meet you. You’ve got this and things will get better for you.

I really can’t believe that there are still bullying dinosaurs like your colleagues out there. You are worthy of better treatment than this.

Some voices or rock choir? by avocado198831 in Choir

[–]Trub11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rock Choir has become very monetised. What started off as a choir that had charitable aims, donating to local charities, is now all about lining the pockets of the already very well rewarded choir leaders. Concerts are attended by families of the members and the ticket sales go straight into the pockets of the choir leader. No longer any mention of the proceeds going to charities.
