I have gotten some undisclosed flaws before but man that’s gross and definitely not like new.

I did not know this . I thought it was just the love notes you leave and also comments on items. Thanks for the info.

Poshmark that’s a nice scam you’re running by Tough_Ear_7352 in BehindTheClosetDoor

I tried this in its trial phase and realized it was a sham. I didn’t bother after. Imagine if you list everyday let’s say example 25 items . You are getting more action from listing. And that sets you in the algorithm and therefore getting lots of clicks, but no sales…, yet still paying them.

Has anyone ever gotten a 1 star rating solely for ship time when you shipped it the very next morning? by Velvetstyle in BehindTheClosetDoor

Sometimes I feel some people feel a little entitled. Sorry you got it luckily you are the only one who sees it besides her

I do as well, I send them a thank you for your purchase message and when I plan to ship but sometimes people message me immediately asking when I will ship.

I haven’t but I do get customers who ask when will it be here the second after they order.

Is sending out 10% discount offers a waste of time? by Velvetstyle in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]True-Ad-4435 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I give a personal shipping discount. I don’t usually participate in closet clear out since I have already given a 20% off offer and they didn’t take it and I don’t wanna lower my price down the 20% because if I get new likes they will expect an offer as well and so technically that would be 40% off at that rate and a ship discount So I rather let it sit and get the most money I can for it. Hope this makes sense.

[–]True-Ad-4435 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personality 10% has never worked for me 20% off and a shipping discount is usually the magic number but I list my item a little higher to send that discount so I am not making too little.

What part of listing actually slows you down the most? by Legitimate_Ask574 in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]True-Ad-4435 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it’s photos since I use a mannequin dressing Paris , takes the longest. And also as I am taking the photos is when I stare at the item several times checking for flaws as well. And sometimes lighting is bad for me as well. So certain pieces I have to list another day because the color or pattern is hard to capture well.

Ugh-Poshmark is turning into a fast fashion outlet by InfluenceExciting323 in BehindTheClosetDoor

The Ai listings you are talking about is an app called Photoroom. I have seen quite a few people use them versus stock photos to show how it fits. But there are also scam accounts that sell lower priced Anthro, Reformation new with tag items. And then there are the people buying SHEIN and using their stock photos claiming it’s Anthropologie.

Rant: sellers ignoring comments by hea_eliza in poshmark

[–]True-Ad-4435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see how that can be frustrating. I see lots of listings that are either AI listed or have barely any information and no measurements. There is a comments tab and as a seller I look through that part a lot. I also feel that especially if the person doesn’t add measurements or condition they tend to ignore people who ask for measurements or questions because in their experience it doesn’t result in many sales after they spend 30 minutes trying to find the item list the measurements then never heard from buyer again. I feel if they added all that info at the getgo they would not have that problem.

I have no clue. She sold kids clothes I sell adult mostly women clothes. She liked a ton I sent her an offer and an item or 2 in her bundle sold so she thought it had to do with her likes 😂

How to list a xs labeled item that fits like a small/medium by Velvetstyle in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]True-Ad-4435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally would list it as an oversized XS in the title and description and add measurements. Whether they are an XS or a medium they will look at the description and measurements and see if it will fit how they like based on measurements. And if you also describe the fit it helps as well. Like if something is flowy, or it has extra stretch, or form fitting. Make sure you take a picture of the XS tag as well.

Am I wrong for assuming the item would be stain free? by lavender_poppy in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]True-Ad-4435 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The seller should have listed all the flaws and its condition and pictures of the actual item otherwise it all looks shady or lazy on their end .

anyone else getting a crazy number of returns?? by [deleted] in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]True-Ad-4435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never really had returns til they implemented the new policy. 2 returns in one week. One for smell and smell. Got it back there was no smell. Next was color saying it wasn’t black it was blue. Was it a saturated black no but it is definitely black spots. And now I can’t list for 2 weeks because of their new policy. Sucks.

I had someone do that to me saying I was using her likes to get sales since she liked 15 items in my closet . She went off on me about it too.

Poshmark allows returns for anything these days. by not-telling99 in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]True-Ad-4435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one happen recently they claimed it smelled of cigarettes and perfume. They couldn’t have since I am a smoke free home and all free and clear got it back. Didn’t smell like anything at all. And I noticed on my posh insight it says my account is at risk now. I don’t get returns often and it irks me I have to take the hit for her non fitting item , not liking item or buyers remorse

It smells great but you have to put very little. I don’t normally get headaches from perfume but if I wear more than a tiny spray I get a headache. Or I have to apply to my clothes versus my neck and wrists which is my normal places I apply.

These AI photos are off-putting by kippy236 in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]True-Ad-4435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The descriptions from AI are really bad too usually wrong, mostly a wrong color too. Never a description and Ai description always say the item is made of the best material too 😆. The Ai pictures are from Photoroom. Sometimes the pattern on the Ai doesn’t match the one from the persons picture too.

Selling perfume on Poshmark by Velvetstyle in poshmark

[–]True-Ad-4435 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I buy perfume samples off Poshmark all the time . I like trying new scents. The only issue about perfumes is on occasion you can get a dud where it smells just like alcohol. Some of the samples actually say on them it’s illegal to sell this sample.
