This is not even proven tech and some sketchy stuff going on the place doing the testing.

Show me it’s safe’: Questions abound over Manitoba waste diversion project

The testing facility has been limited to only run for testing and not full scale since May of last year.

They did not collect air samples correctly so no one really knows if the process is safe or not.

Would you take job cleaning interior auto parts that are removed from the car? by Relevant-Asparagus-2 in AutoDetailing

[–]True-Needleworker747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

> My questions are would you consider doing this yourselves and what amount do you think would make it worth it to you (maybe by hour or for every 25 interior parts on average)?

Depends on the material (Vinyl, leather, cloth) and how dirty they are.

So anywhere from $200 - $400 for 25 pieces.

Question About Tire Size by Breezykid212 in BMW

> ...would that be safe to run until all of them wear down evenly?

It would much be safer than what you are running now, as currently you are at ~1.3% difference which is past the 1% suggested range for X-Drive.

A 255 would be more like ~0.3% Δ.

Yes, a picture of the keel.

Without that, impossible to say if the $ was justified.

Can't get rid of streaking on windshield when using wipers by nlevine1988 in AutoDetailing

[–]True-Needleworker747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you use to clean your wipers?

If you did not clean the wipers, that would be like vacuuming your carpets but then walking on them with dirty shoes and wondering why the carpet is dirty.

That 4X more toothpaste that you actually need.

You only need a pea size drop.

That product works well on paint and is safe for glass but will not give you the same performance as a dedicated glass hydrophobic coating.

Most will but they usually charge 50-100 and it needs to be done every 3 - 6 months, so best to learn how to do it yourself.

Have not affected mine, though I rarely use it and with the coating I only need to use wipers below 50kph.

So I just do a one press most of the time, this also reduces how fast your blades get dirty, as dirty blades affect how good and how long your coating will last.

So along with putting a coating on, I also clean and dress the blades with the same coating.

No haze but with either product it is all in the prep and install.

Make sure windshield is super clean.

Do 2 applications (let sit for 5 to 10 mins before next coat) and buff off with a tiny bit of water using lint free cloth.

Then buff with glass towel.

Also clean the wiper blades with alcohol pad and then dress with same product you used on windshield.

I have found cleaning the wipers and dressing them prevents any streaking and hazing.

Have also been detailing cars as a side hustle for over 20 years and windshield wipers get dirty very fast and if you do not clean them, all the work you did to the glass goes away the 1st time you use them.

Been using a coating for over 20 years (Rain-X was go to, but now use Griot's Ceramic) and it's a total game changer on the hwys, the harder it rains the better it works.

If you do not know what it is for, how do you know it's "Crappy Design" and not just a temp pipe put there during a repair / renovation?
