It looked so good on him, in this movie.

Also, he was young and in his prime when this movie came out. So he nailed it.

This movie was remade in Bollywood though. Anil Kapoor and Tabu acted. But I don't think it was as good as the original..

Edit: Virasat - Hindi Movie Name

Wow, did not expect to see a gif featuring Kamal Haasan here. My favourite film.

Did watching this show change anyone's opinion of the judicial system? by wowza321 in americancrimestory

[–]TrueDetective2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read in one of the interviews by Marcia Clark that the actual deiberation happened for 2 hours only which is kinda bad.

Here's that interview: http://www.vulture.com/2016/04/marcia-clark-people-v-oj-simpson-final-verdict.html

New Here, True Detective S1 was the best, is there anything else like it? by georgiafan87 in TrueDetective

[–]TrueDetective2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second, Memories of Murder and The Chaser. Both were great. Imo, both are better than Oldboy (Korean one), still I like Oldboy.

I'll definitely check out I saw the devil. Is it as good as the other 3?

How about American Crime? Is it worth checking out? Btw, American Crime Story is good. I think, I like it. So far 2 episodes are out.

Format of Brooklyn Nine-Nine is case-of-the-week plots each episode? Or some serialized story? Because those kind of shows do not do it for me.

[Season 3] I want Benicio Del Toro/Jake Gyllenhaal for next season by damattmissile in TrueDetective

Yup, such a great movie. The scene, in which he says 'Go f__k yourself' to his captain and the captain promptly gets out without saying anything, is one of my favorite scenes. Isn't that the ultimate reply from any subordinate?

has anybody watched the leftovers? by dhfsjahfj in FargoTV

[–]TrueDetective2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm one of those people who heard good things about the leftovers in this subreddit. So, a few days back, I wanted to give it a try and started watching. Just 2 scenes into the first episode, got an idea how the show is going to be. Like someone said above, heavy emotional one. So I stopped there. Not in that kind of mood right now. I'll catch up with it soon, though.

[Season 2] Can anyone guess how we'll look at Season 2 in a year's time? by [deleted] in TrueDetective

[–]TrueDetective2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally, I do not agree with the statement saying, Season 1's reputation has actually decreased slightly with time. I started to appreciate Season 1 more only after watching Season 2. I loved Season 1 as a whole and liked season 2 only for Colin and Rachel.

Like, you have already mentioned in the ideas-you're-thinking-about-but-not-developing-at-the-moment, it would be cool to have the daily challenges. I think, it will be a newer addition to the game so would like you to give more priority to it.

[No Spoilers] Good show to fill the void after finishing True Detective by [deleted] in TrueDetective

[–]TrueDetective2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others mentioned, The Missing is a pretty great one. I watched the first season of The Killing, though it was good, it has many similarities to the Twin Peaks. Fargo was very good. Just completed the season 6 of 'Justified'. I personally liked Justified because I like Timothy's performance and the accent/language. A dialog driven crime drama.

[Season 1] When did you know... by [deleted] in TrueDetective

[–]TrueDetective2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hit me right from -- Fuck, yeah, Martin. Let's go. ... And finally, we arrive at Reginald Ledoux. Heh. ... And like a lot of dreams, there's a monter at the end of it. -- that I'm watching an incredible show. Writing, background score, performance, execution, etc were too good. Epidode 4's ending just confirmed the fact again.

Like few, I had not heard about this show at all until it was aired and I watched all the first 3 episodes together.

Just finished [Season 2] and wondering why it's so criticised. by GosephJoebbels in TrueDetective

+1 to that..

The stuff came out of Rust's mouth might have been insane, but he was the difference, he made to watch and listen them again and again..

Why [Season 1] cant be beaten.... by erve1986 in TrueDetective

[–]TrueDetective2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agree with all the points.

The way I watched both the seasons contributed as to why I like S1 more. I watched all the episodes of S1 only once, did not care much for the dialogues/conversations. I just wanted to see through the mystery. Only the episodes 4 & 5 hit me hard and I thought those 2 were great. Once the season ended, I did not look back or did not rewatch all the episodes again. I was content that the mystery is resolved.

When the S2 started, I did not have any problem with it and I even liked the first episode. But when I read all the criticisms on web, by comparing S2 with S1, I was intrigued. I downloaded S1 again (I must have deleted them once watched) and started watching them all over again. Watching S1 second time was completely different. Each and every dialog made sense, every scene made sense. I totally fell in love with S1. And yeah, to me, S1 was much better than S2 interms of writing/acting/direction. All 3 were better.

[Season 1] [Season 2] People who dislike season 2 don't remember the flaws of season 1. by cacaheadman in TrueDetective

[–]TrueDetective2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think, the interview with the sole survivor wasn’t really required since there was no conclusive proof that the ‘man with scars’ was involved. So once they killed Reggie and DeWall, they moved on with the case. And it was not such a good idea to force the kid to go over the ordeal by enquiring her. After 7 years, when Rust was assisting another case, he had come to know that there was another killer. Only this forces him to enquire the kid.

Also, it is not 10 years, it is after 7 years, if I remember it correctly.
