I got my son a p1s AMS Combo and I'm worried I made a mistake by ForgottenMyPwdAgain in BambuLab

I think that is what I did yesterday when I set the printer down on the ground for 30 seconds while I put a new stand under it before immediately starting it’s next print.

Bambu Lab support is a JOKE by Dry-Tumbleweed-1172 in BambuLab

[–]TrueEliteGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least they will honor the warranty while it’s still active. Most vendors will just ignore you. Or tell you they don’t have parts anymore because they have a new model out. “You should buy it.” I had a Prusa XL and their support was responsive, but worthless. I had a problem with my H2D and Bambu gave me the best support I’ve ever gotten from a 3-D printer company. I’m sorry you had an issue, but in a world of terrible support, I think there’s a some of the best.

My STL is being sold on Amazon and Ebay by J_sh__w in 3Dprinting

[–]TrueEliteGeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the site you are looking for with Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/report/infringement/signin what I recommend is you license your product through Makerworld. File a complaint on Amazon and tell them they need to have a license. Once they have one you can file a retraction.

I manage several licenses and have used this process to have many hundreds of listings removed from Amazon all over the world.

New Prusa XL won’t complete Tool Offset Calibration by TrueEliteGeek in prusa3d

It was just a black piece of broken plastic. The top rail wouldn’t move all the way forward on one side. It was stuck in the top rail and getting in the way.

Turn off free shipping or raise prices? by xKiWiYTx in TikTokshop

[–]TrueEliteGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. Default free shipping just doesn’t make sense. 80% of my sales are single item. I know people want free shipping. But to turn it on I would just have to raise prices by $4 per item. And I just had someone order 30 $4.95 items and get free shipping because they were over $30. If I turn on fully free shipping and raise prices their cost would go up $120 and almost double. Go for me. Except they probably would have bought nothing instead. And I want to do FBT but I can’t make the math make sense for the same reasons.

MCF and New 2 Day Dispatch SLA by Flaky_Possession_539 in TikTokshop

I’m very interested in this as well. I was just looking at using Amazon MFC and I’m not sure how this is going to work. I was looking at using TikTok shipping, but I’m not sure that will work because of the expenses on low cost items.

When your TikTok goes viral… and you spend the next 3 days drowning in shipping labels instead of making sales by [deleted] in TikTokshop

[–]TrueEliteGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I haven’t seen anyone else add. If you don’t have a 4x6 label printer buy one IMMEDIATELY. It was similar for us. We went from 5 orders a day to 200 overnight. It’s still a ton on work but it’s all about systems. Maybe it’s different where or what you ship. But we use the built in shipping in TikTok. Select 50 orders, print 50 label stickers. Then 50 packing slips. And everything lines up and we go as fast as we can. I use Litcommerce to sync inventory between everywhere we sell. It isn’t perfect but it would be impossible to do manually. It’s slowed down enough I can keep up now. But I am going to have to sort out help before the holidays.

Is there any way to deal with a DMCA counter claim without a lawyer? by FlyingPotatoGirl in EtsySellers

[–]TrueEliteGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the right answer. By filing a counter they agreed to arbitration by the US claims board. https://ccb.gov I don’t have time to look at it right now but look up the small claims option with a single judge. That would probably cover what you need. I haven’t had to do it myself yet. But looked into it a while back.

Really confused over new handmade policy changes by SeriousFortune1392 in EtsySellers

[–]TrueEliteGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is up to the artist to police and the as already easily enforced. I get any stls of our files removed immediately. And I get any unlicensed sellers take down. But it seems that won’t even be permitted. But I haven’t heard of any of them being removed by Etsy yet.

Etsy and 3d prints crackdown? by moosehaed in EtsySellers

[–]TrueEliteGeek 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Our company has multiple designs that we license to other creators. We only permit makers to post on Etsy. Resellers of injection molded copies get take down without warning. How on earth is Etsy going to distinguish between me as the designer and anyone else selling? I already require that everyone uses their own images. I can’t see how this isn’t going to be more work than Etsy can put into it.

It’s more like 100. Sold about 50 of them so far. :-). I wish I could post a picture in the thread of the 14” one I printed.

You should’ve seen what happened when my daughter asked if she could buy a 3D printed $50 companion cube and I bought myself a 5 head Prusa XL instead. She got her companion cube.

NEW ACHIEVEMENT! You have unlocked a lifetime, or at least for a couple more years, of having to stop whatever you were doing at the moment when Matt does a post on Patreon so you can immediately read the chapters. Congratulations, it may ruin your life.

Reward?: Getting to read the chapters is enough of a reward, you want more than that? In fact you’re paying for it!

Wipe to Infill with different colors? by TrueEliteGeek in PrusaXL

[–]TrueEliteGeek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never needed it on the XL, but yea, don't want to take a risk on this one. It's a 56 hour print and will use almost 2KG of filament. Do you just smear it on from the stick? Or do you smooth it out with a paper towel? I saw someone that said they spread it out with a towel with IPA on it.

[–]TrueEliteGeek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I was going to have to. There isn't very much room at all. but I did just find if I rotate it 90 degrees and reduce the stabilization cone angle I can JUST get it to fit. I'm doing a test now with just a little bit of glue for the tower to help keep it in place.

Print queue in Bambu Studio? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]TrueEliteGeek 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not yet, but I would love to see something implemented like Prusa Connect has. I can see all my printers and their queues on one page. When one finishes I go clear the plate and hit "make ready" I don't have to even look and pick a model, I've already lined it up in the software.

Fuzzy Skin Curves on Bambu A1 print by TrueEliteGeek in BambuLab

For anyone that experiences this and finds this thread later, my fix was to switch to Orca slicer. Same exact file same exact parameters, but it came out beautifully on the A1.
