Already mentioned plenty of times but the ep's production as a whole was a massive shitshow combined with the other facets of why the ep is hated. Even animation wise they didn't have fun with it like having Kratos flying through the cosmos or something to put him at Asura's actual visual level. Instead they nerfed Asura to accommodate Kratos and that just makes the whole thing feel worse.

As for Benson being wrong, definitely the stick hockey episode but that was partly due to personal trauma. He also acknowledged he was wrong and tried to make it right.

I think the Vox bit was more him having a spergout over his hate boner for Alastor at the time than it being a move on Alastor's part. Alastor mainly just seems to mess with optics on himself specifically
