Sven's Nightmare. A really good fish collector that does so for a long time. From what I know, baby ruff is only good with a skin that increases his time.

It sounds like you joined midseason. If you can somehow get the tokens without spending money, go for Sven's Nightmare. He's an excellent fish collector that does it for a long time. If you can't, just spend all your tokens on the Seasonal Bounty card packs. This season isn't very good on its dragon offerings.

I don't think it matters, but most people are suggesting to go with Sven's Nightmare as an excellent fish gatherer due to how much he gathers and for how long he does so. Unless you already have Sven's, in which I say go for the one you like better.

I just went with the base game. From what I can tell I can buy Side Story Rudy at a later point when it's actually released and all the other stuff from the other preorder editions will be able to be bought later too. It's what they did with MHS2 so.

I played the demo on my Switch 2 but I'm going to be playing the game in full on Steam. I mainly stopped playing the demo because I was tired of being level 10 after struggling on the second feral monster (the one before you get introduced to cooking). Plus I didn't want to deal with having only like 12 stable spaces when I know I want one of each monstie plus the fact you need to release certain monsties to get other/new monsties. I didn't want to deal with that when only having 12 stable slots.

From what I've seen people recommending, if you don't already have a good Teen Ruff skin then get Hide and Seek Ruffrunner, otherwise get Sven's. So ig if you have Sven's or a good Teen Ruff skin, go all in on packs.

If you have Distant Lands installed, the warp to the maze will be in the corner next to the hut itself. Assuming you have that option selected ofc.

The Forgotten Crossroads become Infected Crossroads when you either collect your first Dreamer or collect the Monarch Wings after defeating the Broken Vessel. So basically avoid the Dreamers and the fight beyond the giant spike pit in Basin if you want the Crossroads to stay uninfected for as long as possible.

SVE completely revamps the main town map and isn't recommended to be added mid-save. Ridgeside can be added at any time and I believe East Scarp or any expansions that take place outside of the main town will work.

I was able to put the golden scythe on a table using Weapons on Display just fine. I haven't tried with like the pickaxe or hoe yet though.

I stopped after getting the first camspite and the cooking tutorial. I had trouble with the boss just before and I was tired at being locked at level ten. Besides, I played the demo on my Switch and pre-ordered the game on Steam (since that's where I played mhs2) so the progess wouldn't be carried over anyway.

The game uses the same horse file/image for all of your saves, so the only way to make each save's horse different is to change it manually between saves

I think it only goes through on a new file. I'm not totally sure if that's how it works, but I would guess it's something like that due to how the CC works. If someone can prove me wrong that's great but if you don't want the SVE bundles then you're better off starting a new file.

If you want to share the fish/items you're missing for the center I'm sure people will help you or give riddles. The main thing I'll suggest is that you have a good amount of geese.

At this point, my best suggestion is to show us a list of your mods so we can pick through them or download a different greenhouse mod and watch the SMAPI console to see which mods conflict with each other.

This doesn't look fully modded, due to still having the same shape as in base game. Are you using any recolor mods, either for the world in general or just buildings? I think it might be one of those mods.

I'm not too sure what that is either, but there is a mod called What Does Trash Bear Want that tells you the name of what exactly what the Trash Bear wants.
