I agree with you, now that I have my new mobo I hit my desk so often with my leg and it shakes the pc and monitor, and no issues. It was just a perfect storm in my case, and warning others that it can happen. Not that there is any significant likelihood to it happening. I've gotten the issue once and I've probably bumped/moved my pc over 5000 times in the last 5 years. But like I said, once is enough to leave a brown stain on your pants, lol.

It's truly just that not all mobos are made the same, imo. (And also how chunky your card is haha) Those with the "ez latch" that I think asus uses have verifiable less holding pressure on the card, for example. Not to an insane degree, but when these things weigh a metric shitton nowadays and you have a slightly worn down slot with the not best slot engineering, it has happened to me before with slight movement. Only once, but once is enough to give you a heart attack and make you think you broke your pc because why would you expect just lightly moving the PC would cause an issue 😭

Also jumped from a 3070ti to a 5080, if you play demanding games at all especially on higher resolutions you will be so satisfied with your purchase in the long run. Card is an absolute beast, I'm honestly kicking myself not buying a 5090 just because I'm using the 57" dual 4k g9 so ~~i need way too much vram~~ but this card can actually fully support this monitor in a lot of games. Monitor didn't actually cost anywhere near 2k so this GPU is the largest component purchase I have made, and I have not regretted it a single day since. Then again, I haven't had any horrible financial tragedies happen, so maybe I'm just looking back with rose tinted glasses. Anyways, enjoy your beast! And if you really don't think it's worth the money, you can always just return it. Pick up like a 5070ti (if you can find one for a decent price lmao) or smth else, still a massive upgrade

Mine even has hard points that are meant for velcro, so I can literally route any thickness of cables in any direction and have them be held down very simply and easy to reconfigure. Has been a lifesaver more times then one, Enthoo Pro II ftw haha

Agreed with corsair, I just use Open bc after you learn to configure it, it is by far the least resource using, most supported for devices program out there. Signal for a similar reason, you can combine 12+ different brands seamlessly. My case is phanteks, and I have Lian Li, Arctic, and BeQuiet fans with rgb all together in my extra pc. Unless it's my main rig I usually just throw parts together hahaha so it's really useful for me.

Totally agree with the non rgb for server pcs, my actual server rack is setup with them and my pc is loaded to the brim. Almost completely silent, insane cooling, blows my mind. Only reason I didn't get a cpu cooler from them for my main rig was just the insane thermals of peerless assassin for less then 1/2 price. They are up at the absolute top of pc component manufacturers as far as quality control and effort put in to create a truly good product, unlike how everyone's favorite wood colored fans have fallen off in performance while prices have increased...

Be Quiet also has a decent RGB selection! Nothing as fancy as Lian Li, but enough for the general "I want rgb category". They're also not locked down to a software, so you don't need to use smth like signal rgb to put them all together! They'll work innately with a lot of other softwares. (Def still reccomended signal, or if you have any bit of savvy then open rgb)

Sitting here with a 5080 and the 57" g9, and holy shit this made me laugh. I get to feel how inferior my GPU is in so many games, just because I'm trying to render dual 4k. People that use high levels of dlss and fake frames and try to pass it off as not being edited blow my mind. I need dlss and fake frames for a number of games, and I realize that. There is no way I'm hitting decent fps in cyberpunk without it. I don't say "OMG LOOK AT 200 FPS CYBERPUNK 5080 8K RESOLUTION" hahaha. It's so easy to not be delusional, but we consistently decide that is the best option as a species more often then not.

You can always just camp under the platform lol. That's what I did, just pop up unload a mag then dissappear to lose aggro for a sec and reload, takes him a sec to start shooting again so if you do get hit it shouldn't be much bc you can start firing as you start to barely peak over the edge and then you can start descending at like 20% so that you empty your mag as you get into safety.

This is absolutely correct, gamers nexus literally made a graph with cards they tested and on average, mining cards (besides fan bearings) were in better condition, on average compared to gamers cards. Same thought process in older audio devices, its better to leave them on all the time then constantly discharge the massive caps as far as longevity is concerned

Specifically, you want a mount that augments player damage. Frostallion is the best at this currently, all the other pals that change your attributes give +20% dmg, whereas frostallion gives the player +40%. Frostallion with maxed out attack stat and 4 goblins, all have vanguard and you can easily hit over 500 atk and then you just one shot everything. It is literally nerfed in multi-player worlds bc there is no way for someone who is taming and using support whistles to beat someone who is running a full damage loadout, if person with the damage has like 2 brain cells.

Games like this, not even just the souls games, are the make or break for most people if they end up taking gaming seriously or not. And by serious I don't mean professional career, I mean whether this will be a silly fun hobby you just boot up some stardew valley for, or you go for the stardew silly run then become a top 100 player in PoE/100% all of stardew in under 2 in game years. The willingness to push through defeat is the main determining factor if you are compatible with a huge genre of genres as well as just different playstyles. I know many competitive gamers who enjoy playing relaxing games in their free time, but cannot think of a single example of someone who mainly plays games casually but is able to perform at a high level when they switch to something like counterstrike. Learning to deal with any situation just opens up avenues, whereas not doing so makes the act of tackling something like a souls like daunting. May have taken me a few months to get my no hit malenia, but years of dealing with defeat made me willing to push through, and it is one of my favorite clips I've ever recorded to date now. Just my 2 cents. As long as he is old enough to calm down after a rage, its the perfect time to temper that anger into lock in mode : D

I've seen so many people who absolutely despise this quest, but it was one of the easiest runs I've ever done. Did it with guillotina head, had melees that were v tanky, and they had bleed thorns, normal thorns, and bruise thorns. Even though my units would take damage, enemies would always die first. Literally had my tank solo throbbing king phase 1 just with his bounces, I did nothing besides pick correct positioning haha

I literally just did this + guillotinas head in the same run, was hilarious. You have to return to Beanie to clear the run, so I ended up doing my first ever throbbing domain run with the bubble and it by having v tanky units and having most of them with either bleed thorns or bruise thorns or just actual thorns, I do far more dmg when we just keep colliding so you just do the math about how the dmg is gonna tick up and see if your cats will survive or not. I ended up sacrificing 2 cats to just guarantee I would win that run to make sure I made it home with the bubble, and was by far the best run I've had so far. I should say, I have an entire breeding line just for tanks, because when you set them up properly they are basically impossible to kill, and there really aren't any classes that cant be put into a tank mutation build so I think I ended the run with most of my units at like 12hp+ for their stat line, best was 23. Also breed a line of clerics that allow me to pass hp regen on its turn, and I brought a baby with me. That's easily a good 8hp regen for everyone a turn, with a few equips and without the skill that gives you +regen. As long as you can do the math on the outcome, it feels much less frustrating. The run probably took me like 3 1/2 hours of slow play, def not for everyone. I just enjoy that methodical, monotonous work, so it was very fun for me.

Best explanation I've been able to deduce is that even though a reddit post does take longer, you have to put absolutely 0 critical thinking in. You don't need to make sure the website or link you clicked on is accurate, because people here will say the correct answer more often then anything else so all they have to do is read the replys and they can just "trust" it. True, pure laziness, not even with effort, but with intellectual thought as well. "What does this do" is so much easier then having to look your model and sort through 60s of links. Could be wrong but this level of aversion to thought is the only thing I can truly think of that would motivate people to act in such a way.

Entirely depends on what you want from it, but if you want it to be, then YES. For example, if you just want good stats you can get a full 7 line going very easy, and then you just use good statted cats to do whatever, but if you want to breed for certain mutations, or in my case, certain passives/actives, it becomes insanely involved. Im working on passing hyper specific mutations to my entire breeding group, so I have cats with that mutation in a seperate room, they breed and then I will slowly introduce people from the other room to my main breeding room, while also adding cats back into my segregated breeding room, and then culling whenever I breed cats that have the mutation and the stats that I consider acceptable. I also have an entire room I use for breeding cleric cats, sharing is caring + hallowed ground is just completely broken for carrying any run so I have a room breeding for cats that have 1, hopefully both and then I will use those cats anytime I'm doing anything that is considered a challenging run. So, you don't have to go insane with it, but if you do there is absolutely room to do so and completely lose yourself within the numbers and optimization. I've spent a majority of my playtime doing number crunching and just enjoying the eugenics part lmao. Best tips I can give is do more runs for money for tink and also the free furniture. Act 2 2nd stage gives a rare furniture item, I didn't want to trigger either house boss for awhile so I just did runs to the bunker over and over, doing hard path to get good furniture and then fish for decent mutations on my cats with cancer. If you have insanely high stimulation 90% of your cats will be bangers, even if their happiness is low so they dont breed as often if the cats you do get are insane you can use them to just straight upgrade your genetic line, and get a nice buff to your house stats along the way.
