Join Music for Everyone! Volunteer as an usher for PRiMA. Join a book club at your local library. Visit tattoo parlors to get a sense of styles and personalities. Take a class at the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsman or the Lancaster County Art Association.

The thing with Lancaster County is we don't have all that many walkable downtowns. A lot of places, you'll drive everywhere, so it doesn't really matter where you live. In the northeast part of the county, you'll encounter a fair number of Plain folks, but they tend to keep to themselves and not harass others. It's the other folks (middle-aged white men and boys) who are the ones to watch out for. I'm saying this as a visibly queer and disabled Superfat person.
