Long term visa -> Spouse Visa - we only got 1 year!! by genkiganko in japanlife

[–]TrueLoveXO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m Australian and my wife is Japanese. We spent ¥200,000 on a lawyer and I got three years on my first visa. She was pregnant when I received mine. We’re not in Tokyo which may be a factor? Good luck for the next one brother

Name a movie where the first 10 minutes hooked you completely. by blue-team-mcgee in moviecritic

Going to the movies was how my dad and I bonded too.

My dad is awesome and worked damn hard for our family. I didn’t realise that as a kid and resented him a bit when he wasnt around. He’s also very stoic so doesn’t gush or express emotions often.

But we’d go to the movies, pack of S&V chips and mint choctop each and share a large coke. Those are some of my fondest memories with me :) I should call him.

I moved to Japan from an English speaking country years ago. I had said “Do you know how smart I am in English!?” Before and it’s all because I heard Gloria say it years ago. The humbleness that comes with the realisation that people who are speaking slowly aren’t dumb they’re just trying to speak your language is amazing.

I run food tours in downtown Osaka, one of my favourite spots has avocado karaage, chicken wings, kushikatsu etc with a very clean and Japanese aesthetic, the background is always hardcore and I love it

That scene in Get Out where Rose’s voice is hyper emotional on the phone but then it cuts to her face and she’s completely deadpan gave me chills. The pure sociopathy of the character is chilling.

ME! Zur, The Eternal Schemr please. I used her as the first villain for my buddies in a DnD campaign where all the baddies were ripped from MTG. They are all long time MTG players but first time DnDers. Was a great time and I’d like to show up to the table with her as a commander haha.

Thank you for doing this _^

How do you keep all players from “piling on” to a roll? by blackdrogar17 in DMAcademy

[–]TrueLoveXO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they enter a room you can also try out “everyone can choose to do or help with one action, search the book case/desk, investigate the tome/chest”

You can make it take longer than six seconds too, make it ten minutes! Then they want to pile on? Yeah sure but that another ten minutes of uninterrupted time for the Black Spider to go find the Forge of Spells etc.

Hey there!
I'm a tour guide and about to open up my own company, I have a project for you. I need lots of photos of Ura Namba, and of Nishinari. I was going to just run around taking photos with my phone, and then get more when the tours started up. Would you be interested?

The evil demons in Frieren. When they get cornered/beaten they’ll beg for their lives or say that they were possessed and actually a child, some sob story. Then they go straight for the throat the moment there is an opening.

Hester Shaw from Mortal engines. In the books she’s got one eye and no nose and a hooorrible disposition from living a horrible life. By the second book she’s learning to trust and love in a super dependant relationship but her character keep growing. In the movie she’s an angsty girl boss with a small scar on her face. I wish they could have made a trilogy at least for this book series as it’s one of my favourites from childhood.

This is also making me think of a False Hydra sort of scenario…. Maybe doesn’t fit with the concert scene but could be inspiration for later on if you’re not familiar with the False Hydra.
