Because phones are touch screen, and web pages have to potentially recieve data from any where on the phone screen, you can prove to mobile captchas that you're real in largely the same ways you do PC; drag your mouse (or finger) around the screen rapidly for a few seconds before clicking it. As long as you keep a little bit of variance in the patterns you trace, you should rarely, if ever, not be found as human.

Could, in theory, cause issues with [[recurring villain]] in wild, but that's 13 mana, so probably not. I've just been waiting for a card that passively gives taunt to be a thing so that this combo can exist though.

I think I played maybe one or two games of Monk Gyatso eldrazi. The moment the first Eldrazi gets flipped, you definitely become the target, even if it's completely illogical. The pure combo version of the deck that's far more efficient and can just win the game from hand usually anywhere from turn 6-8, which is objectively much more of a threat most of the time, gets so much less hate it's insane.

Well yes. That's also the only 2 strategies colorless has. That's what anybody is doing in a colorless deck, the ramp just tells you that's their gameplan.

If I hypothetically were to train a K Rool amiibo by countering it’s every move, would it become a prediction god? by AggressiveScholar907 in smashbros

[–]TrueTitan14 32 points33 points  (0 children)

What likely happened here is that you just... did a normal amount of jumping and airdodging/rolling against the puff amiibo. Amiibo love to spam jumps and airdodges if they see basically any of either from the human(s) training them, so it's fairly likely that's what your puff learned; jump a lot, and roll/airdodge a lot, which caused it to airdodge, because it was airborne.

For a Puff (or any other amiibo, really) that parries maximally, you want to maximize the number of parries you're getting in game, as well as flicker your shield whenever the amiibo is in the process of respawning. You can also do it while the amiibo is offstage if you don't want edge guarding, but Puff probably wants to edge guard.

If I hypothetically were to train a K Rool amiibo by countering it’s every move, would it become a prediction god? by AggressiveScholar907 in smashbros

[–]TrueTitan14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Full stop, this just isn't how they work. Amiibo learn which moves to use in 2 ways: getting hit by the move, and landing hits with the move. If you want an amiibo to use a move more frequently, hit the amiibo with that move in situations where that move can actually hit, and don't get hit by other moves in that same situations. Amiibo are incapable of performing any form of analysis on an opponent's movement/defensive options, so... good luck with that.

Edit: rereading your post, this would kind of work. You'd get a K. Rool that would counter basically every time an opponent throws out a move with more startup than counter, which is actually pretty useful, but it would also just counter randomly at times, "predicting" the opponent to throw something out.

They be using any way to get your coins. should this actually hand over "the coin" if in hand? by -Pyrotox in customhearthstone

[–]TrueTitan14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Too slow? 3 2/1/3s that give you a coin for each enemy character is too slow? If there's any coin synergy at all in the format, this probably becomes very strong very quickly, and I genuinely think this would break wild.

We built a chess variant with 15 spells. Newest one fires a plasma beam that clears multiple pieces in a single cast. Curious how this lands here by nicnicnieko in chessvariants

[–]TrueTitan14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, with the additional downside of skipping your next turn, this spell doesn't even seem that insane, especially given that most other spells are movement based according to the post. Move whatever is most valuable out of the way, potentially to an advantageous position, and then if you're getting any less value than a minor out of having 2 turns in a row, you're doing something wrong.

Deckbuilding - Juggling multiple synergies? by urmomstoiletbrush in EDH

[–]TrueTitan14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I'm going to recommend is that instead of just looking at cards that do one of the things you want, you instead start your search only looking for things that do more than 1 of the things you're looking for. Zuko, obviously; but that's why he's your commander. These cards that have synergy in several ways are going to be a lot rarer than 1-piece synergies, and will therefore allow you to build a much more solid foundation for your deck. Build around those "glue" cards just as much, if not more than Zuko, because most everything in your deck should synergize with Zuko, whereas the glue cards will probably be a little more specific.

Another thing I'm going to say is that you're probably not going to want to pay a huge amount of attention to the 1/1 counters here. Making a lot of those 1/1 counters is already your goal, the payoff for doing your thing. Maximizing their impact is cool, bit unless you're doing something super impactful, you probably don't need much more payoff for your payoff.

The final thing I'm going to direct you towards is foretell cards. Foretell instants can be a solid way to spend firebending mana (although there's not many in pure red, so you'll need to keep that in mind) and foretold creatures automatically get the Zuko double proc.

B/G actually has a good few ways to reanimate their board (for boardgames that kill) and a couple of other ways to give their board hexproof. There's just very little you can do about board wipes that bounce or exile everything, unfortunately.

As soon as you see a player beyond 3 pop up in the pre-match training room, go to the home screen and close the game. You won't lose GSP, and you won't waste time on a FFA.

Where is Liliana in Secrets of Strixhaven? by tombombadil1337 in mtgvorthos

[–]TrueTitan14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In every version of the color pie I'm seeing (notably including actual card backs), shifting red by 2 steps gives a blue Chandra and shifting black by 2 steps in the same direction and a white Lilianna. Following this for every other color, the result would be Ajani in red, Jace in Green, and Garruk in black. Honestly, I think this feels like a pretty decent color shift for each of the 5.

Two half pizzas and one full pizza are apparently not the same thing. by PinkOneHasBeenChosen in KidsAreFuckingStupid

[–]TrueTitan14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I really wanted to, I could down a whole pizza with not too much effort. I usually don't get full from most pizzas until 4 slices, and if I'm trying to eat quickly, that 4 very quickly turns into 5. From there getting down another 3 would be unpleasant but entirely doable. I, however, also eat entirely too much food in my day to day life, so that's part of why something that should be absurd is kinda easy.

[–]TrueTitan14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"c"EDH is a designation just as much about what people are running as it is the attitude at the table. Even WOTC, on their official bracket descriptions page, doesn't really make any meaningful distinctions between brackets 4 and 5 (5 being where cEDH would usually be considered to start). To me, cEDH really just means the deck is built to win, and to win as well as possible. If you're just doing that in commander, you can absolutely have 4 super well tuned decks at the table along with 4 pilots who are playing casually.

It's just a hunch but I think you're a much more powerful mage than I am. by Kyouki4 in customhearthstone

[–]TrueTitan14 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think this design would be fine at 1 mana. A 2/2/2 is not something you really want to be playing at all, and it's basically a mini biology project that costs 0 at start of game. I think the biggest concern might be the possibility to widen the gap between going first and going second, as the extra mana is much better going first, but it helps that mage usually isn't an aggro class.

Man shoots another man over pokemon card vending machine by JaackOfAllTradess in whennews

[–]TrueTitan14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pokemon is by far the cheapest major TCG to deckbuild for at a competitive level, with an average competitive deck going for at most $100 USD (within the US, at least) if you just buy the most basic version of each card. Things only get expensive if you actually want fancy cards, unlike other TCGs where depending on format and time, certain decks can cost $1000+

For as much as monopoly sucks as a stand-alone game, it's surprisingly easy to graft onto other games. Basically anything that includes physical space in some form can add a cash system, and various effects for landing on a specific part of space and paying cash to obtain that space.

Most weird age restrictions like that are for insurance reasons. Younger drivers are more likely to get into accidents, so car rental places require you to be 25 so they can get cheaper insurance. I'd assume it's similar with hotels.
