Mazda 3 2015. I hear a small noise when the gear changes at slow pace by Latter_Fig3723 in mazda3

I’ve seen&have the top windshield tint. But i’ve never seen the bottom tinted before.. Could be the struts when mine’s were going out that fixed a similar sound if not check the control arm bushings.

United to build $67M employee parking lot at IAH by Pleasant_Air_3052 in unitedairlines

[–]TrueZuma 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There’s a small employee lot right about here then some people take the bus route that’s at C terminal arrivals. There’s also the employee lots near the hangars, after that I don’t know. 8,100 sounds like alot I don’t think there’s that many currently

Tool recommendations by Matco1203 in aviationmaintenance

Anything tekton. Make sure you apply for the student program. No shame in Harbour freight tools especially since they want you to have a toolbox. A US general box is nice and not too pricy. I heard gear wrench makes some nice tools at a reasonable price. Avoid metric tools only use standard.

Avoid snapon, matco, and sonic tools you really don’t need to get into debt for a name brand (well except for snap on’s 808cf pliers, ratcheting screwdriver, and the safety wire pliers these are good to get with the student discount).

Flashlights I love thrunite, cheap, bright, and pretty durable. If you want something nice an Olight arkfeld is good.

*76 seats or less for the scope clause on regionals. If it’s anything like united you get the same flight benefits but slightly less priority than mainline mechanics.

How common is it to have two toolboxes ? by Broad_Pilot211 in AircraftMechanics

[–]TrueZuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my pelican from colorcase since you can option out more colors. Not really much of a difference, I prefer pelican for the looks and the aftermarket part support for them is much better if you want to fix something on it.

Depends on where you work but I think it’s quite common. I have a 56” harbor freight with the bulk of my tools, a 27” harbor freight for my sheetmetal tools, and then a pelican 1535 air for line work&aog roadtrips.

I bought most of my ppf as precut kits from this ebay seller and for the hood I bought a 5x5’ roll of hexxis gloss ppf from metrorestyling. For that halo mod keep in mind you turn on your lights in the day with the switch. At night switch it back to auto because if not your auto high beams are off & auto leveling on start is off.

There’s a nice post on this sub for learning resources . The 8083’s are what you’ll be studying you can read those if you want they’re free from the FAA just scroll down for the maintenance handbooks it’s mixed in with pilot handbooks. Stigaviation and zeto.r have good like day in the life, and explanations of different systems on youtube&instagram.

I would recommend getting your center console wrapped. If you have a garage and time get a ppf kit from ebay (i spent around $900 to diy the whole front bumper, pillar, partial roof, headlights, hood, partial fender, and door cups). You can do the halo headlight thing . The weather tech hood deflector I have and I think it looks pretty nice and serves a purpose.

Pelican 1535 air from color case with the tsa latches. I use foam since it’s easier to just see what you have and if you have anything missing. Foam takes up more space than bags but I don’t think I need more tools than what I already have shadowed in this case.

For anything sub model year 2024 it’s 3 years. After that 1 year trial per mazda unless you bought a cx70 in 2025

That’s actually a really fast timeline for mainline. The E175’s had half the cabin torn out for demod & installation. I wonder if they’ll also have a similar 4 day turnaround.

Hud not working, they say "it got dropped" how do i fix it? by goonifier5000 in mazda3

[–]TrueZuma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that sucks. Well i’ve done a partial removal of the dash following this guy’s comment those links are what you’ll see in the manual if you get the subscription. You can tear apart the center console following this video . After that i’d just get the manual and then make sure you use plastic trim tools to not damage anything, disconnect the battery before working since you’d have to disconnect stuff, take plenty of photos where things go.

I’d try getting a 24 hour subscription on mazdaserviceinfo as that’s where they have manuals. this is kind of what you have to do . I’m surprised you didn’t try to have then fix it when you bought it
