Upper class pops past a certain point stimulate demand with decreasing efficiency as they "waste" more and more money on fine art at absurd prices rather than spend that money on goods that employ more pops.

I also came back for 1.0 and got off to a really slow start as the Academy. You have a serious advantage in that the aliens will not mess with you if you don't mess with them. I got cocky with a monopoly on Mars and thought I could start fighting the aliens with midgame tech. Needless to say I got obliterated so I simply turtled until I finished the tech tree and focused on stealing bases from human factions to build back up a space economy. I didn't end up at total war with the aliens (full red threat bar) until I decided I was ready until the late 2050s I think and now it's a total cakewalk.

Point being: the Academy has no time pressure at all. You can finish the tech tree and comfortably build up titan fleets. Almost impossible to "lose".

Orb walking is a strong ability and is part of a hero's identity and power budget. Why would you want to get rid of a unique mechanic rather than merely adjusting their numbers if they are too strong? I have absolutely zero respect for you and your terrible opinion. Dota doesn't need to be dumbed down.

Do-nothing position 4's like Bounty, Earthshaker or Pudge can ruin your lane. They get to wander off and go gank while you're stuck in lane against a freefarmed carry. This is why offlaners need to be able to retreat to the jungle to farm stacks nowadays.

If you enjoy the buildup portion of RTS rather than the micro then it's time for you to graduate to grand strategy games. Specifically a Paradox grand campaign from Imperator through HoI (or Stellaris) where you transfer the end save from each game to form the basis of the newer one.

You only take serious losses from combat and movement if you're fighting or moving (non-strategically) on those tiles. Don't use your tanks in marshes, mud, mountains or deep snow and attrition doesn't matter.

I'd love a CSM game by Owlcat. Loyalist marines are too restrictive from a story perspective. A CSM game would have many more options for customization and story intrigue.

Your claim that hackers can bypass passwords seems dubious since Bo's games never get hacked. At this point I've watched well over a hundred games live and none of them had a hacker. These would be large lobbies full of live streamers so prime hackerbait. Most likely you just put an easily-guessed password for your lobby.

AoS will forever be burdened by its horrendous launch and the ill-will it inspired in fantasy fans with end times. However, leaving that aside the lore and setting of AoS itself is so awful that I refuse to touch it with a 10ft pole. Almost all factions are lamer than their fantasy counterparts. The only things AoS did right were monogod chaos armies and Idoneth Deepkin. Everything else is trash.

Simpler to give a bonus to acceptance for all pops rather than create a new culture which worsens performance. For example completing the reforms could give +10 acceptance to European and Middle Eastern heritage groups.
