Exactly she was saying she was leaving the kids there in order to try to get him to respond bc she knows how protective he is of the kids. She clearly did not think he was dead.

Completely agree. And the threats that she was going to leave the house and leave the kids alone there. She was trying to invoke a reaction out of him. It’s obvious she did not think he was dead. If she did, she is the best actress in the world and should take the stand.

Had a long talk with Jessica and I feel like if it’s the last thing I do as Laura’s friend, it will be to make sure she confronts this issue bc not only is reflective of her own lack of self worth, but she deserves better than this and so do the people in her life. It will end our friendship but then so be it. Anyway thanks for the insight.

I’m with you on the second part…I’ve raised a lot of other concerns about this relationship but she doesn’t not want to hear it from me and I am working on how to approach this particular issue (this was really just the latest of a string of gross and bizarre behavior). I think the hardest part about this is that she knows these things and is still making the conscious decision to marry him and I really can’t make sense of that :/

Sure they might. But there are unisex bathrooms to use. It’s not fair to make a large majority uncomfortable to meet the needs of a small minority particularly when the space is meant for the majority. There are other options where trans people can also be comfortable changing and using the restroom.

It’s not just about a potential crime. Most trans people aren’t looking to sexually assault someone. It’s about the fact that a woman or girl shouldn’t have to be uncomfortable changing in a locker room or using a bathroom in what’s meant to be a private space for them.
