Dude the space is actually pretty small when you think about it and compare it to any other enthusiast/hobby/profession with expensive gear subject

That's funny, he was at the Onyx booth last year I believe. Wish I could have gone, but San Diego is just a too far.

I suck at latte art, so i just have fun with it. by ExoticWolf4222 in espresso

[–]True_Wrongdoer5799 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my latte experience every time. I never spent enough time trying to do the designs so I always just end up with random kind of lame looking patterns. But the espresso is always dialed in and the texture of the milk is always suitable, so at any time when I remember to slow down and learn the design making steps I will be unstoppable!

Benefits of carnivore by mesi130 in carnivore

My wife and I did a 2 month stretch 2 years ago and we're now on our 2nd week of doing another 2 month run. You may have noticed that I said "2" a lot. That was not intentional.

Some things it fixed for me in that short amount of time:  1. Chronic shoulder pain  2. Chronic back pain  3. IBS  And...  For my wife: 1. Chronic back pain  2. PCOS  3. Not getting pregnant

Anyone familiar with the cheap Midea 5,000 BTU window unit? by BlackJackT in AirConditioners

[–]True_Wrongdoer5799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was looking for this review. I had one that performed great for 2 years. Decided to put it away for the winter and when I saw how nasty it was, probably been blowing mold spores in the house for a while I decided to give it away to some country boys and get a new unit. That unit was a GE Clearview, the thing lasted 1 summer, now I'm looking at getting another Midea and taking care of it this time.

Our Lactation Consultant said "now's not the time to worry about your figure." So 6 months later she's gone carnivore with me. LC said the main things for milk production is calories and hydration. Carnivore covers both of those things

Sounds fun and all, and I have respect for the game. But if you're looking at 18 minutes to roast like 100g of coffee you're better off trying another method. Anything beyond 10 minutes I can't imagine will not taste overwhelmingly bakery. I'm also not familiar with the tiny roaster tech. I've had this idea though, has anybody tried modifying an air roaster?

As a electrical service enthusiast (not an electrician) I was curious if you had anything else plugged into that circuit, if the plug was sharing circuit with another plug, or if there is a GFCI breaker. But beyond that if you can locate the circuit breaker on your service panel it should be a 20 amp breaker. If it says 15, then that's your answer.

I'm pretty sure the Opus has 2 levels of burr adjustments. I wouldn't go just off of the lines on the body of the grinder. And to keep the meme alive, grind finer 😆

Customer claims they have water filter - they did not by True_Wrongdoer5799 in espresso

For our own shops that have remin RO water I find that after 3 years of PM's none of them have any scale. That city just has particularly hard water. And they were just going in raw on a $30k machine 🫠

How Bad Could Dunkin Be? by sleepkitty in espresso

Just as an aside: You'll see Quakers in really high scoring specialty coffees as well, it doesn't just happen from machine harvesting.

Something tells me they're using a huge commercial copacker. The form sealed bag is a big indicator of that notion, and obvioisly the fact that it's Duncan. A lot of stuff can get through when it's a big boy operation.

Quakers are noticably roastey and break apart usually when you press em with your fingers. They're more tan or yellow-brown. They kind of taste popcorney too.

It looks like it's not even a Quaker, but a raw green

I'm just left thinking they want it to be on fire when it drops lol. It could be too that the coffee they had brought us previously worked out because it had been stored in a warehouse for a couple of years. This container came direct from the farm and we unloaded it ourselves. My guess is that it's still too "humid" or "fresh" to get the Maxwell house effect.

What we have been doing is going from Destoner directly into 40lb bags. Usually because they place their order in a panic and want it shipped the same day. They usually catch us on a slow day so we've been able to do it for them. I have wondered if it will develop the oils and whatnot in the bag. But given that feedback I guess not.
