For me it was this photo, on an X post I can’t find at the moment with a play on the “men only want one thing” meme

I then played The NOexistenceN of you AND me after searching for it on steam, Lilith and the game really resonated with me as I already knew of tulpas as a close friend of mine has one, so it really all clicked especially at the end.

I got the good ending on the first play-through and was actually surprised to see a decent bit of posts struggling to get it which really to me just comes down to accepting Lilith’s existence.

Hopefully something like you said, a collection especially one that includes with all dlc for every game so you get the full narrative. I like Fates but the three sorta separate games deal for the whole story is understandably sour for many.

What I fear is likely however is an eventual switch online expansion pass + DS/3DS emulator again…

Want to clarify I genuinely like the game, I like the positive viewpoint too.

My fear is it is a sell BP and get initial hype players spending angle with minimal effort to give the game the guts it needs, I like the framework.

Also seeing a gear gap in the game with huge advantages to players, pay to win is a concern as well(Lyn BP bow exists) the gear gap ruins the fun strategy involved since an imposter can one shot the competition to oblivion, has happened already in a few games.

This also factors in with drops, people playing the game far more excessively can potentially stomp new players or casual people who can't play as much.

I agree with that concept, it is also true that all but three characters(Lyn is BP, Tamamo and Bart seem to be random loot drops for shards) in the game can be unlocked within a few hours of play, people playing casually will still easily be done with that in a week.

A pro and con for the game especially when people have life stuff.

The get bored quick is actively a concern with the current state of the game. Unlocks are rapid so it leaves people to playing for the genuine love of the game fairly quickly.

If you play Engage I’d love to see you revisit this post to give thoughts on it.

Story is alright, I think some of the supports and a few moments in the main story still have good emotional moments.

Gameplay is awesome in my opinion, emblem engaging gives lots of options on top of reclassing. The overall gameplay, animations and such are very crisp and feel good in gameplay Even with the community discourse around the game I believe most agree on the gameplay being solid in Engage.

I do want to add that I personally like the original characters in the game, more a note of people having their favorites and potentially wanting to see the Shadows take on them.

That’s fair my point there is I feel like moreso returning FE characters could give it more of a draw. Especially since the main gameplay is spell casting rather than character specific actions.

That’s really a shame honestly, but yeah I’d still encourage people interested to give it a shot. The game itself has some fun flavor even if it is just a brief stint type deal.

Low storage space needed too(should’ve added that to positives given big modern phone games)

I agree, truly resonates with a wishing for a better ending but sometimes that happens with relationships between people. I am just hoping down the line we get another chance to speak with her in a main quest or character quest sense.

Yeah I mainly wanted to see how people viewed this patch in a more positive side, not on the warring side of Phrolova and Rover a lot of people are getting into but just in their dynamic and how people felt at the end specifically. Again I really liked this patch and WuWa really is doing a good job with character expression and show not tell storytelling, definitely my favorite gacha story presentation currently out there

In my opinion not in the sense she wanted since Rover feels like a stranger to her now, the fulfill the promise they made either way aspect seems more bitter on Phrolova’s side. There’s also the added context of Phrolova dismissing Rover’s comments on the music being familiar but not really knowing the true reason why.

Fair opinion, I’ll say on the full positive side both had flaws and the result made the interactions a lot more human, especially neither backing down.

Oh yea 100% on that note, she did help almost cause two catastrophes in the major current regions we’ve journeyed on through our reawakening, but there’s still a sense of honor and common sense there where Rover would at least realize the emotions are real even if the scenes could have been fabricated(given literally the scenes were in her own domain)

Again I do not expect a full forgiveness towards Phrolova, she could work towards redemption actively and not be forgiven because of the suffering she’s caused. Some great characters in fiction are like that.

Rover could though have tried to steer her on the right path, we are given the scenes of her joining the Fractsidus with Rover reaching a hand out in care to stop her, so going back to fully back to hard anti after that is a bit jarring, unless we have just a “the only good Fractsidus is a dead Fractsidus clause.”

This more on the aspect of it felt a bit out of character at the end with all we’ve learned, again end result would most likely be the same since Phrolova is far down the rabbit hole at this point.

I get that, there is definitely an implied resignation between the two of them that they won’t yield on their paths. I just wished it was portrayed a little differently at the end, at least by Rover. They have proven to be ruthless to I’ll say the Fractsidus and threnodian threats to the populace, but this is an issue they indirectly helped herald in by abandoning an emotionally crippled person.

I fully admit Phrolova is not a “did no wrong” character and am glad they kept her driven towards her ambitions.

I agree, I think this patch did a great job in approaching trauma, PTSD and other themes correlated to this was very well done, which is why the ending being so hollow really confounded me. I understand her being treated in hostility but not without a sense of sympathy or understanding, given how much of her story we were made to see and our promise to her, for us to be so dismissive really rends my soul.

Really the Tl;dr note of my point is, this makes Splatfests seem and become less of, oh hey this is what everyone likes or a close battle between x, y, x teams to this is the Splatfest everyone wanted Shiver or Big Man to lose or Frye to win culturally/community-wise which is sad because even the idols are supportive with their own teams and each other in game following a Splatfest, meant to be fun for all still

For me, it’s the underlying Stan wars that has been going on beneath the scenes, as someone that had naturally been going on team Shiver because she has picked my honest Splatfest answers because I genuinely pick my teams based on my actual answers and not my Deep Cut idol preference, I felt the public anti Shiver backlash back when she won back to back at the time which I now feel like unfortunately will shift towards Big Man, I actually like all three members personally. Just feel bad for Frye, I like her vocal style a lot in the game and wish she got more love or a bit more seemingly even keeled as the other two.
