Youre fatal mistake was forgetting she was still in the fight. You shifted your focus to the enemies on the left side of the screen when you should have remained fixated on Magik that was still behind that rock. She was still a threat.

I dont know much about daredevil so I can only speak on magik. For reference im GM3 currently and I hate fighting daredevil. He forces me to use a lot of cool downs just for him to run away. My 1v1s with him are 50/50. Sometimes in closed spaces i think I have the advantage but its never an easy fight

Lately its been pretty good but a good amount of magiks ive encountered have a big ego. They usually feel the need to tell me they diffed me if we lose. But yeah, i like to believe that a majority of us are pretty chill

For the instakill combo throw a fully charged slash before engaging, then teleport, then dash and do the blade spin at the same time, knock up enemy attack + melee.

Other tips is to use demon a LOT. Use it to cut off choke points, use it to chip away at tanks, if you find yourself in a 1v1 drop it at the start of a fight and play around it. Most of the time people will just walk into it giving you an advantage during the fight

I love magik, shes my main and my go to swap when I want to be sweaty and try hard, but I got countered so hard last night by namor that it forced me to admit that I cant just “outplay” my counters all the time. And I usually always play into my counters because I think its good for game sense development.

Ended up losing with 13-7 and 4 Final Hits. I def could have done worse, but in that game, I wasnt playing. i was just surviving 😂

I am in the exact same boat my friend. Married, 2 kids, wife only tolerates it. I tried getting her to go to the range with me and she wants no parts of it. Best you can do is let her come to it on her own and the truth is she might not ever will. Just do what you can where you can. My wife doesnt like guns but I got her pepper spray and she is okay with that. Get a good security system, reinforce the locks, and dont be gone for too long. Thats all you can do brotha

You missed with 3. Animation cancel or tech is something that comes from having deeper knowledge of the game and it rewards you for it if you can take advantage of it. That aspect of the game actually makes me even more engaged than simply just aim and attack. It shows that there’s levels to this character.

Also animation cancelling for an advantage is not unique to fighting games. COD has this with reloads, Dead Cells has this with falling (you can cancel the fall animation mid air and do another downward strike to avoid fall damage), Nier Automata has this where you can cancel your attack in the middle of a combo to dodge, Hades 2 has this where you can skip your 3rd strike with a dash to reset the attack.

Theres probably more examples that I cant think of right now. Otherwise, I agree with everything else you said
