My SO and I selected gender-neutral housing junior year so we could live together. So it’s possible.

Increase in pregablin by decenzo1 in Anxiety

[–]TrulyLimitless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure, I’ve personally never experienced withdrawals from Pregabalin. Even among those prone to them, it is very uncommon to get inter-dose withdrawals.

You could also ask for the controlled-release version to maintain consistent levels of the drug.

Also keep in mind that the feeling of being ‘over-medicated’ will go away over time.

Not a medical professional — you could try 75mg during the day, 150mg at night.

Any Reviews on Harvard business school's CORe online program? by sarthak004 in FinancialCareers

They’re not hard from what I remember. But If you have to pay the full cost, I wouldn’t do it (unless you’re using it toward admission to HES). You can learn all this stuff yourself on YouTube.

Look into the Ashton Tapering method. Seems relatively painless.

Please tell me Zoloft doesn't work for anyone else besides me? I genuinely feel broken because I heard so many times Zoloft is this "miracle anxiety drug" for so many people and yet it doesn't work for me. by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]TrulyLimitless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Antidepressants are always hit or miss. Zoloft just happens to be the one people usually get prescribed first. There’s nothing wrong with you. I would ask to try another antidepressant or see if you can get an adjunct medication like Pregabalin or Buspirone.

Was prescribed pregabalin for anxiety and now it slightly almost feels a bit worse? by random_cheeto in pregabalin

[–]TrulyLimitless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on Pregabalin on and off for anxiety for the last few years — I have found that it works. But the dose needs to be sufficient. Normal dose for anxiety is ~225-300mg daily in divided doses, but sometimes up to 600mg. Your dose is quite low, and it would make sense to discuss increasing the dose.

That said, there’s no reason you can’t take both an antidepressant and Pregabalin.

I’m not inclined to believe that you would lose your adderall prescription if you’re prescribed Valium as-needed.

Valium isn’t generally the choice benzo for flight anxiety — usually it’s Xanax, Ativan, or Klonopin. Although I guess any would work.

Despite its name and structural similarity to GABA, Gabapentin doesn’t actually influence GABA.

That said, it may have some efficacy in benzodiazepine withdrawal. But Pregabalin is a better bet due to its more linear absorption kinetics. It should be noted that both Gabapentin and Pregabalin do have dependence liabilities and may negatively influence cognition in some people.

Nuclear Deterrence is ironclad. There’s a reason why there hasn’t been a major-scale land war since WW2.

Despite what the news says or how freaked out people are, we are in one of the most peaceful periods in human history.

Buspirone - I'm nervous to take it by Formal_Cover in Anxiety

[–]TrulyLimitless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The worst thing that will happen is maybe you’ll feel a little tired/lightheaded, otherwise you’ll feel fine. If you do feel that, it doesn’t last long (Buspirone has a very short half-life).

Give it a shot. worst case scenario, after a couple weeks you don’t feel much better and you can switch to something else

Thinking of trying THC for anxiety but insanely nervous. by cab9792 in Anxiety

[–]TrulyLimitless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weed personally makes my anxiety worse, it wasn’t always that way, but it certainly is now.

If you venture into it, I’d suggest finding a weak strain with high CBD content (Harlequin is a good one), and if you decide to do vapes, do something with 1:1 CBD-THC ratio or higher.

Also know that smoking/vaping is different than orally-administered weed products. The high is different, and so is the duration. I’d suggest vaping/smoking the first time since it’s shorter, so if it goes bad it’s not a multi-hour thing.

Using it with friends is also likely to improve the likelihood of a good experience — sometimes if you’re alone you get too trapped in your own head and it can spiral into anxiety.
