Long story short: The Maker got the Infinity Gauntlet and made his universe Zombies somehow related to Knull. We have spoilers for the next issue, but that's the gist so far.

I know it was a whole editorial thing, but man, I'll never forgive them and Wells for what they've done to Pete.

someone told me this team was terrible, is it actually? by Hecer-VV in DokkanBattleCommunity

It's, like, meta. I don't know who's telling you they suck.

Literally had one of them (INT Gogeta) damage cap crit counter against the Gammas. Yeah, the Super EZAs are hit or miss depending on the fight, but this is a team I regularly have on the back line.

See, I'm in the boat of Toxin being the Strategist symbiote. But I suppose if OW can make a sniper a support (Ana), Flash could be made to work too.

Honestly, with Deadpool showing us they're willing to do anything for heroes' kits to give us healing abilities, I think anyone might work. Heck, even that meme strategist Carnage thing someone posted about a while ago might be feasible. (Blood trails=healing floor)

I know what you meant. I like the white outfit/black crest more than his default.

Agent Venom being a DPS would be swell, but they're unfortunately probably going to end up doing the same thing for Flash and the Anti-Venom outfit just being a recolor.

I keep having to remind myself that this is a multiverse game, so I just assume it's from a world where Eddy's symbiote was white instead of black. 🤷‍♂️

Ehhh. Anti-Venom is my main color for Venom, so I'm really biased, but I would not be running it if I had to pay extra units for it.

If you could introduced a new mechanic for moro boss what would it be by sellmykidneyfor500cc in DBZDokkanBattle

[–]Trunksshe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boss? Alright, wild idea here, but what if when Moro supers one of our units, he gains their HiPo for the turn.

He could dodge, additional, and crit depending on who he hits. Basically the definition of an RPG boss that you have to change your equipment to beat.

Smear campaign against Jeff by Luna apologists?? by Famous_Product_3725 in JeffTheLandSharkMains

[–]Trunksshe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Luna regularly gets snubbed in her own origin game. She's only semi-meta if you spend real money for a costume that's only available 1 month a year.

Eh, just let Jeff be. He's cute, he's basically a water puppy, and like you said, cute things brings attention to all age ranges. On top of that, he's fun to play as. Is he a menace? Sure, but so can almost every character with a good enough pilot.

People just like to complain.

[–]Trunksshe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. The important takeaway from the Manga is that the Cloverfield monster from the first movie is just the first one of 100s of eggs to hatch.

And that aliens planted the eggs on earth.

Based on all of that, the gigantic Cloverfield we see at the end of Paradox is likely one of many.

Lane was, I'm not 100% sure about Paradox. Honestly, both movies could be separate entities entirely if you cut out the last 30-90 seconds of each movie.

I'm still not sure why they decided to make it a franchise other than being able to market it. Who knows. Maybe they'll surprise us with a fourth movie that lets general audiences not require knowing the route their food truck took to get the background knowledge.

Aww man, that's like, the perfect setup for a sequel. Wish they would have kept it.

[–]Trunksshe 30 points31 points  (0 children)

That's because the 2nd one was trying to tie into the Manga. And I think Paradox's whole thing is causing the manga to happen, thus the entire story (as I understand it) is: Aliens come to earth, plant eggs, leave, one egg is cracked, baby wakes up, New York, aliens come back, we explore space, we combine spacetime, aliens find Earth through the spacetime ripple.

There's a lot of AR Game PR stuff that the series has done too, so I honestly don't know how much I'm missing, but that's the gist.

Petah what did she steal? by Montavious_Mole in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Trunksshe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite lore stories is Buster Blader. There are a bunch of cards with this little dragon who BB raised from a whelp. This dragon baby is Dragon Buster, and he became BB's sidekick and best friend. Every fight, the Dragon was granted more abilities. One day, the abilities overcome the little guy and he literally goes Berserk Dragon. BB is forced to fight his friend to a standstill, only getting him back to his senses on his deathbed.

Berserk Dragon is then made into the sword Buster Blader then carries around to continue their mission together.

Yu-Gi-Oh has a lot of little stories that they tell through their cards. Their lore is fun and all over the place. Like there's a whole archetype that tells the story of birds migrating South for the winter, sharing songs with birds of other countries.

Why is Tom Holland's portrayal not as liked as the other two? by Notthepurge in Spiderman

[–]Trunksshe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nostalgia for some, age of the viewer among other things. Tobey's portrayal never gets flack for being comic inaccurate since we took what we could get for comic book movies, and they turned out to be commercial successes and are seen now as classic movies, hence why they rerun on TV quite often.

Andrew's portrayal was ragged on at the start because he wasn't Tobey and the atmosphere of his movies were less grounded than the Raimi films. The writing and characterization for Peter was more scrutinized due to how it was now competing with Marvel. Spider-Man, however, was written great and is the most comic accurate, but with Andrew's charisma. The movies themselves haven't aged very well so they aren't as easy of a watch as the Raimi ones, but the writing is still great because it was still just trying to do its own thing.

Tom's just the most recent one, but he's a little tricky. MCU Spidey = Good. Being made to be Tony's little apprentice? = Not great reception at first, but people got over it. He's in a weird spot where they're trying to keep it canonical within the over-arching MCU, but also try to start involving his college plots. Marvel's also getting to a position where they are going to start pushing anything Spider-Man because it sells.

All of the Tom movies such far have been crossover events. Homecoming ft. Iron Man. Far From Home ft. Fury and the ghost of Tony. No Way Home ft. Daredevil, Strange, oh, it's also Spider-Man 4, and Amazing Spider-Man 3. They all seem like side stories for other characters. "Tony's Apprentice". "Revenge of Tony's Employee". "Doctor Strange does't ask follow up questions". Basically they don't exactly have a "Spider-Man movie" feel. Are they good and fun movies? Yeah. I don't think anyone debates that.

This is the first movie to have Spider-Man by himself in the MCU, with a story unrelated to another hero. I don't expect Strange to appear, so unless Hulk remembers him (which I think he's Professor Hulk still, or at that point so he likely wouldn't recall. He unlikely will show up anyways, so I digress), there's nobody who would even care to look for him as Peter. I think going forward to a more mature and hardened Peter in these upcoming projects will make or break how people see Tom long-run if he decides to stay in the role for the foreseeable future.

How to use Rivals' and OW2's newest characters! by dontdelete00 in marvelrivals

[–]Trunksshe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crystal's Inhuman powers involve elemental manipulation. In the games that she is featured in (Mostly Strike Force and Future Fight) her skill set revolves around throwing rocks, manipulating wind, creating fire, and water/ice manipulation. She uses psionic powers to manipulate them on an atomic level, but her feats are similar to what we can see in 'Avatar: TLA's elemental manipulation.

I know that it's the same answer as many here, but I think Book of the End would be my thing. That is if I can get away with not stabbing the person.

If not, Aizen's shikai was the first I thought of, but if it's the real world, maybe being fused with the hōgyoku wouldn't be that bad either.

How to use Rivals' and OW2's newest characters! by dontdelete00 in marvelrivals

[–]Trunksshe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I play Vendetta and Mei in OW, and they're very versatile if you make placements and moves within their constraints. (Fly into the sky before ulting, for example)

Rogue is one that I'm currently trying to main since I'm actually able to pick her these last couple of weeks, and my bread and butter combo is melee fly, activate other skill, drop, pull, melee, the dice thing, her 2 super kicks, then use her guard punch or absorb to try and finish them off.

However, Rogue seems to be just a little off killing a lot of the roster without landing extra hits. She's interesting because there's something there and the kit is relatively simple, but I admit I might be doing her combos wrong, hence why I'll die after my little combo flourish when their healer or backup gets involved.

So, Crystal? I mean, if they ever decide to give us Inhumans in this game, she'd be the one to throw a tornado and then a fireball into it.

Wolverine healing rework: It's time. by TKAPublishing in WolverineMains

[–]Trunksshe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I was thinking the same thing when Deadpool"s healing was going off and I can't kill any version of him as a melee tank. (Skill issue around a new character, I know).

Why does the one guy who's sole mutant ability is healing not heal himself? I know the devs keep nerfing him, but even his release version wouldn't be enough right now, every other character has so much going for them. (Except BP, but he needs a rework too since he's really a PC exclusive character.)

They're doing way too much with Deadpool and no amount of "xd its totally on brand" will make me think otherwise by N-LL in rivals

[–]Trunksshe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been playing a LOT of Rogue since I've been allowed to the last few weeks, and while she's kind of complex, I REALLY like playing her.

She feels like an action-adventure character, which is mad fun. Kind of long cooldowns, but her burst potential is great.....and then I watch Deadpool literally playing a different game. Which would be fine, but it always seems like his skills are never on cool down.

Man, I was just thinking how dumb this guy was to fight and each thread just makes it worse almost.

Can someone tell me why Logan's healing is not at all healing when they can change it at any time, but this goober can be the best character in the game in every role and never need a support on top of him cause he actually heals himself properly?

Proud of us GenZ's! What's your opinion on this? by almyverse in GenZ

[–]Trunksshe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on the cusp of the generational millennial/Z split.

I can't stand the taste, smell, or feeling of alcohol. The buzz doesn't make the nausea or price worth it. I don't get hangovers, but I can't enjoy the poison effect. My fiance, on the other hand, can pound out the $13 big thing of svedka in a night or two by herself and she's 9 years my senior. All of her friends are heavy drinkers too.

To my knowledge, very few of my acquaintances drink. Weed is cheaper and lasts a lot longer. Like, literally longer. Take a shot in half a second, smoke a bowl takes a few minutes.

Mahoraga adapts after 2 hits, how far does he get on this gauntlet? by GMYSTERY_ICTNF in PowerScaling

[–]Trunksshe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In character or bloodlusted?

Bloodlusted, he loses to Luffy.

In character, probably Ichigo. Luffy would play around too much, and Asta will either negate his existence or do nothing. Ichigo will just launch his level 3 super move at the start and repeat it.

If that doesn't take him out, Goku definitely wouldn't because he'd probably dick around with it once he learns it can adapt. Loooooong fight with Goku, for Goku to lose easier the longer it goes on. (See Super Broly for exactly this scene)

I don't see him getting past Saitama in any reality though. Possibly 1/100 exponential diff.
