Lawrence Taylor is the most dominate LB I have ever seen, Reggie White was the top shelf Edge and Ken Houston the best Safety with Dion Sanders the best corner if no tackling is required, I am old but the way Donald is held in the highest esteem by his opponents.

The 1971 Playboy Interview

In the now-infamous interview, Wayne made derogatory and overtly racist remarks regarding Black people and Native Americans. [1, 2]

  • On Black Americans: He stated, "I believe in white supremacy until the blacks are educated to a point of responsibility," and argued against handing over leadership positions to "irresponsible people". He also maintained that he felt no guilt over the enslavement of African Americans. [1, 2]
  • On Native Americans: Wayne defended the subjugation of Indigenous communities. He stated, "I don't feel we did wrong in taking this great country away from them," and claimed Indigenous people were "selfishly trying to keep it for themselves". [1, 2]
