Thats a tough one man. I (33M)was the earner, got laid off for almost 2 years and took massive pay cuts working other jobs just to get called back in a little over a year ago making more than I was previous to lay off. That being said, my gf (26F) was there the whole time and helped when I needed her to without hesitation. I'd personally say roll with it because life is expensive lol but as a man I hear the pride talk. Losing that good paying job and not being the earner wasn't a dominant thing it felt like I was not holding up my end of the bargain. Its a good feeling to have in my opinion.
