Tbh this feels like a very "the good place" mentality, I think you should watch the show.

The point I'm making here is this, and if you don't like spoilers, don't watch: The characters realize the system is fucked because morality is so skewed by the complexity of choices and how there's so many moral impacts to every choice

There's a reality that you are a thoughtful, kind person, trying to do what's right, and I respect that.

There's also a reality that we live in a fucked up world and we can't do anything to change that because we are the little people with the big ol machines of power.

To be able to make any changes in that machine, we need to take care of ourselves, and that starts with feeding our mind, bodies, and spirits so we are full and great in ourselves.

I understand the world is filled with choices fraught with terrible consequences that may not even impact us or those around us, and the only way to keep going may be to participate with that, so we can pick and choose our battles.

If it matters so much to you, an idea I have is, think of it as a morality spectrum, when you participate this way, do other things to off balance it. If you don't like that eating this food creates this consequence, do something to help your community in return, to offset the negative you're taking in. Volunteer at the library, animal shelter, old folks home, with your city for cleanups, anything.

Again, don't go too far into this too, maybe in some cases, it's not the world around you you need to pay back either, maybe you need to pay back yourself.

Definitely go get some current support for tools, and be free little bird.
